"My silence didn't last for a day. It has lasted for seven years. Over the past seven years, I've silently tolerated and accepted all the mistreatment from my mother. I allowed her to suck on my fiancé's family's blood like a vampire!"

The hospital room was filled with a pin-drop silence. Everyone was dumbstruck by Jennie's words.

Kim Lilan leaned back against the bed with a pale complexion.

She did not expect Jennie to bring this matter up. To think she was humiliating their family without pausing to worry about her own face!

Jennie's tears continued rolling down her cheeks. "Yes, I'm a student. But isn't silent acceptance of my mother's actions a form of filial piety? This is truly a joke. My mother took over a billion dollars from the Manoban family, yet she lied to me, claiming to only have taken a few million dollars. When the truth came out, she even criticized me for asking for too little from the Manoban family. Although my fiancé is wealthy, that is his money. The Kim Group is really too thick-skinned and shameless. To what extent will they go before they are satisfied?"

Her tearful expression was far too miserable.

It expressed her deep sadness and despair. It definitely was not a performance.

Everyone watching the live-stream was quiet.

Jennie was truly crying. She was crying over her own past foolishness.

She also cried in gratitude. She was thankful that she now had the opportunity to change her tragedy from her past life and to cherish the people who deserved her love.

Lisa stood outside the door. As he watched Jennie cry, his heartache intensified.

He swore that in this life, he would offer everything he had, including his own life, to properly love and pamper Jennie!

Jennie's tone conveyed her despair to the maximum. "My mother always only has cruel criticism when it comes to me. She even wishes for Lisa to end his engagement with me so that my second sister can take my place."

Lilan's expression was flustered. "Jenjen, enough of that. That's not true..."

"If it's not true, why did you allow Second Sister to pretend to be Lisa's fiancé? If it isn't the truth, why did you stand in front of Lisa and ask for him to cancel his engagement with me?"

After being publicly questioned by Jennie, Lilan immediately wanted to insist it wasn't true. However, she saw that Lisa was standing in the hallway.

It was true that she once requested Lisa to end his engagement with Jennie.

She was afraid that he would corroborate Jennie's testimony right now. Given his status, everyone would surely believe in him.

Hence Lilan pursed her lips and chose to remain silent.

Jennie smiled with a hint of self-mocking. "No matter what I do, no matter how much hatred and grievance I endure, I will never be able to obtain my mother's love or even an expression of concern. To her, I'm not even worth the treatment a human deserves! If you were in my shoes, how would you feel?"

She paused and wiped her tears with her uninjured hand. Her gaze then turned firm and she loudly announced. "The people watching will never be able to understand the actual truth. I've reached the end of my despair and I've long grown numb. I no longer wish to conceal anything on my mother's behalf."

As she said this, she tapped on her phone and lifted her screen to one of the cameras. On the screen, a message content was being displayed:

[Mom, quickly give Jennie a call. Tell her that you met with an accident and ask her to quickly bring Lisa to the hospital to visit you!]

After showing them the message, she continued. "This is the message my second sister sent to my mother right before 'Warming Jing Hua University With Love'. Krystal had wanted to prevent her status as a fake fiancé from being exposed, no matter what. That's why, my 'great' mother came up with a fake accident to fool Lisa and me into leaving the event."
