Fuck, it was a big grievance!
Lisa's brows were tightly furrowed into a harsh frown. "I didn't hang up on your call. My phone ran out of battery."
"What..." This time, she was the one who was dumbstruck.
Why were things different from what she imagined?
He took in her surprised little expression and felt the urge to slap her butt. He harshly responded. "You little fool, what were you thinking in your heart?"
Since young, whenever he approached her, she would avoid him with every method available.
Only God knew how moved and happy he was each time she paid him any attention, especially when she appeared to be pleased to be with him.
Even if he had a screw loose, he wouldn't have hung up on her.
Jennie fell silent. She quietly peeked at his ice-cold expression. She had misunderstood him... what now?
"You dared to misunderstand me!" The cold aura emitting from his body nearly froze the entire room. The freezing cold left her trembling.
She laughed awkwardly with some fear. She tried to explain herself. "Handsome, I..."
"I don't wish to listen to any excuses." He expressionlessly cut her off. "I don't need your apology either. Be more direct. How do you plan on compensating me?"
Jennie's heart nearly skipped a beat from his stern gaze. She gathered up her courage to respond. "I'm not trying to come up with any excuses. How would I have known that your phone ran out of battery?"
"Even if you didn't know that my phone was out of battery, why did you run away from the Yu Ting Villa before I was done showering?" His expression revealed his anger and his tone was frigid cold.
His aura was dark to the point where anyone would be frightened. "If you didn't run, would there be any misunderstandings?"
"I sent you a message. You were the one who didn't check..." Her arguments became softer.
Jennie realised she seemed to be on the losing end here. But he also had some responsibility. And so, were they even now?
He did not wish to tell her that his heart had grown flustered when she left without leaving any word behind.
As a result, he wasn't even in the mood to check his phone.
In fact, he was not in the mood to check either of his phones regardless if it were any news about his work or private life.
In any case, if there truly were urgent work, his bodyguards would have informed him.
If she were any other woman, he would already have shot her to death.
Of course, from the moment they met when they were young, he had already acknowledged her. Since then, he did not take a single look at any other women.
He did not wish to listen to any more of her excuses. He directly kissed her.
Her expression turned urgent and her clear voice trembled slightly. "Lisa, you can't do this!"
"I'm just collecting the compensation I deserve."
He wasn't someone to come up with tricks. He preferred being efficient and direct with what he wanted.
"You were supposed to have your compensation but it's been withdrawn!" She declared firmly as though this was very serious.
Even if she had decided to make up with him sooner than planned and reduce Bambam's consequences, she refused to allow that man to go scot-free with his cheap mouth.
He furrowed his dark, charming brows and narrowed his eyes slightly. He was clearly unhappy. "Why has it been withdrawn?"
"You didn't discipline your subordinate well."
"Who?" Lisa recalled that earlier in the car, Bambam mentioned the consequences if he made a mistake. At the time, he did not have the mood to pay attention to his words, but now he was certain. "Bambam?"
"You sure guessed accurately. It's him. Go check your phone!" Jennie's period was here.
The intimate atmosphere between them could not intensify any further. Otherwise, the consequences would be difficult to face. She tried her best to push him away as he pressed her down.
However, his body was as firm as a mountain. Regardless of how much force she applied, she could not ward him off.
