"Based on the results, Madam Kim Lilan is Jennie's birth mother." Zhao Cheng felt upset on his young master's behalf.
Having such a mother-in-law was a great misfortune.
Lisa furrowed his ink black brows. "Could it have been tampered with?"
"This subordinate has already confirmed the results to be true. The involved personnel did not interfere with the process."
Jennie stood right outside the study room and coincidentally heard their conversation.
This result was within her expectations and could have been predicted.
Kim Lilan had taken the initiative to perform this DNA test with her. In other words, Kim Lilan must have seen this coming too, didn't she?
Could Kim Lilan really be her birth mother?
No...
Jennie felt that something was seriously amiss!
Lilan's actions were not only incompatible with that of a mother's. They were also beyond what one would expect a mother to do.
She approached Lisa's side with a helpless and disappointed expression. "Lisa, I'm really sorry."
He lifted his brows and tugged her over. He nudged her into sitting on her lap. "Why are you apologising all of a sudden?" He felt her weight and realised... she had become even lighter.
"I brought trouble to you by having such a mother." At this moment, it seemed like they had no way of refuting the results.
He tapped on the tip of her nose and reprimanded her. "Your business is my business. You don't ever have to apologise to me!"
She was moved as she nodded. "Are the DNA results always accurate?"
"Yes." Lisa confirmed. "But there is always the smallest probability of error."
She buried her head into his arms and gloomily responded. "Although the evidence is irrefutable, I still feel that Lilan isn't my mother..."
Lisa deliberated over this. "At times, our instincts are very accurate. It may be even more precise than scientific methods. Let's do another round of DNA testing."
"Alright." She similarly found it hard to give up.
He gently patted on her back. "Visit Jia Ya Hospital the next time you do it."
She nodded.
Jia Ya Hospital was one of the hospitals under the Sheng Shi Group.
Their technology was the best. The results would therefore be more reliable.
She seemed to have thought of something as she suddenly left his arms. "Next time, don't hug me when it's inconvenient for me."
He frowned unhappily. "Why?"
"Why did you receive tranquilizer shots behind my back!" She reprimanded in anger.
His expression turned heavy. "Shi Qian told you?"
"I met him coincidentally and asked him about it. Don't blame him for it. Explain to me instead." It was difficult to conceal the anger on her face. "Do you know that if you keep doing this you... you won't be able to do it anymore."
His expression darkened. "Why won't I be able to do it anymore!"
He understood his own body best. Even in the entire country, there were barely any men who were physically stronger than him.
He narrowed his sharp eyes and sized her up with an invasive, unrestrained gaze.
Back when she had been overweight, her figure had been adorably plump. Now that she had lost weight, her figure was slender and graceful. Her thin arms and long legs really stirred his appetite up. He feared he would eat her up alive!
Jennie watched as his cold gaze turned heated. She swallowed her saliva with some fear.
He had just taken a shot of tranquilizer. She did not wish to provoke him right now.
Lisa forcefully averted his gaze from her body. He wrapped his arm around her waist and trapped her in his arms. He then lifted her chin and leaned down to kiss her.
