School Reunion

Y/N L/N was overweight and ugly, according to society's judgemental views. 

She was the main target for bullies, especially Aiko Akagi.

"Huh? Look at this fat-ass? Girls, should be teach little Y/N here what it means to be fat?" Aiko sneered as her friends poured red paint all over Y/N.

Y/N did not cry; she couldn't, when there was red paint all over her. She knew that bullies were bullies.

"Hey, stop it, Aiko!" A voice hollered. It was Yuki Ishikawa.

"Why should I? She's just an ugly pig!" Aiko laughed cruelly, expecting Yuki to laugh along with her.

But he didn't.

"Get out of here, Aiko, before I call the principal on you and your friends," Yuki ordered sternly as the girls looked at him in surprise before escaping.

"Hey, let's get you home to shower, okay?" Yuki said softly to Y/N, who looked gratefully at him.

"Arigato Gozaimasu, Yuki-san. I don't know what I could have done against Aiko," Y/N thanked gratefully as Yuki waved his hand.

"It's fine, you're just in a phase. I'm sure you will grow up to become a beautiful and independent young woman," Yuki smiled kindly as he lead the girl home.

"Thanks again, Yuki-san. I will try my best," Y/N said determinedly as Yuki smiled.

And Y/N did change. Not just due to Yuki's words, but for herself.

After she graduated, she went to the gym everyday and gotten slimmer. Then, she moved to America to study law.

It wasn't until she was reminded of her high school years when an email popped up, saying that her high school is having a school reunion two weeks later.

Smiling, Y/N wanted to prove that she has changed herself for the better and she loved herself for who she was.

So, of course, Y/N was on the plane, only a couple of days before the reunion happened.

Finally, the day arrived. When Y/N was there, the whole venue bursted with excitement as old friends and classmates met again.

She could hear gasps and stunned expressions when Y/N got out of the cab in a simple baby blue dress.

"Who is that? She's stunning!"

"Wow...."

"Konnichiwa," Y/N bowed as she continued to walk into the building, not mentioning her name whatsoever.

"Y/N!" A familiar voice said as Y/N was hugged from behind.

"Y-Yuki?" Y/N asked as she turned around, staring up into his face.

Yuki was standing in front of her in a tux. He looked very handsome indeed as he towered over a short Y/N.

"I missed you, you look amazing!" Yuki exclaimed as he smiled charmingly at Y/N.

"You look great as well, Yuki. I'm glad that I came back here," Y/N smiled back, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear.

"Wanna go grab some drinks?" Yuki asked as he held out his hand.

"Sure," Y/N nodded as she took his hand.

"Waaaaah, it's Yuki Ishikawa and Y/N L/N! Are they dating?" A random classmate squealed.

"That cannot be Y/N L/N," A short and snobbish voice said. It was Aiko.

Y/N turned her head to face Aiko.

"You are right, I'm not the old Y/N who cowarded under your gaze. I'm a new Y/N, an American lawyer; a confident and independent woman who fights back," Y/N said coldly, "thanks for all of those years you and your friends tormented me. I would have never found myself if it weren't for you."

She then left with Yuki to go get some drinks.

"That was so badass," Yuki laughed as the two clinked their wine glasses together.

"Thanks, Yuki, it was all thanks to you though," Y/N smiled.

"W-w-would you like to go on a date with me?" Yuki stuttered nervously.

"Awwwww....little Yuki likes me!" Y/N teased as Yuki blushed, "of course, Yuki! How could I say no to you?"

And so, the two left the school reunion with a newfound love as they walked away from the past with interlocked hands.
