"Konnichiwa," Y/N smiled kindly as she saw the familiar stranger again.

"Konnichiwa," The stranger smiled back, "my name's Ran Takahashi, what's your name?"

"Y/N L/N," Y/N replied, "it's nice to meet you, Ran-san."

"Oh drop the formalities," Ran chuckled, "wanna go to the ice cream shop?"

"Of course," Y/N said as the two walked towards the nearby shop together.

"You play volleyball too?" Y/N asked with a surprised look as she licked her mint chocolate ice cream.

"Hai! I play for Ryujin Nippon and Padova," Ran said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head.

Y/N's blood ran cold as she got flashbacks of Yuki, "do you happen to know Yuki Ishikawa?"

"OF COURSE!" Ran exclaimed with excitement, "he's my captain, and idol, he's awesome!"

Y/N nodded along, as if she didn't know a person named Yuki Ishikawa.

It wasn't until the two bumped into Yuki and Hana kissing in a nearby shop.

"Konnichiwa captain!" Ran greeted happily, oblivious to the whole situation.

"Konnichiwa, Ran," Yuki said, smiling genuinely. His eyes told a whole different story though.

"This is Y/N," Ran introduced happily, "hi Hana!"

"Konnichiwa, Ran," Hana smiled warmly as Y/N zoned off.

"Y/Nnie? Hello?" Ran waved his hand in front of the girl, "are you fine?"

"I'm fine," Y/N mumbled as her phone suddenly rang, "moshi moshi? Mayu? I'm coming over right now, ja nae!"

When she hung up, she immediately said, "I'm so sorry, my friend needs me right now, I'll see you all later!"

She quickly kissed Ran on the cheek goodbye before rushing off.

Ran's cheeks flustered as he watched the girl run far away from him.

While Yuki just looked at Ran and sighed to himself. It was really his fault his relationship with Y/N was so messed up now.

2 years later...

"Oh my god, love! What did you do to get here?" Y/N blushed when Ran lead her up to the top of Burj Khalifa.

"I remember you talking about wanting to come here," Ran scratched the back of his head as he looked at Y/N.

"I didn't expect you to actually do it," Y/N said.

"I love you," Ran smiled.

"I love you too, Ran," Y/N smiled back, then chuckled at the male's cuteness, "you're adorable."

"I'm trying to propose to you here," Ran pouted as he got onto his knee.

Y/N's eyes instantly widened as she looked down at the male.

"Y/N L/N, remember the day when you were sad and I gave you some banana milk on the street？Well, what I thought was something small led to something big and here we are, two years later, still dating. Eventually, you told me the reason why you were sad that day. It was because your first love didn't love you. And even if others don't believe in first love and the whole love at first sight, I do. And I was rewarded with you, the most amazing and kind woman that I've ever met," Ran sniffed a bit as he took out a box from his pocket, "so, Y/N L/N? Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?"

He opened the little box to reveal a shiny pearl ring, to symbolize the month that his beloved was born in.

"I-YES!" Y/N cried as Ran slipped the ring on her finger before standing up again, "I love you so fucking much, Ran, thank you for showing light for me."

"I love you," Ran smiled again as he pulled the girl into a kiss.

"I love you too," Y/N smiled as tears fell down her cheeks.

"Aish, don't cry, you're too beautiful," Ran joked as tears rolled down his cheeks also.

"Says the one crying," Y/N chuckled as the two continued to bask in the moment, together.

With no heartbreaks and anything to interrupt their love.
