"I'm sorry, but I don't like you, please just leave me alone," Y/N said as she broke another boy's heart.

Y/N L/N was known to be the cruelly beautiful, yet cold girl who everyone had a crush on.

But she couldn't feel anything.

Hell, she didn't even have friends.

And it was all because of her past.

Flashback:

"DIDN'T I TELL YOU TO DO THE DISHES!??" Y/N's drunk father hollered as he threw a glass vase at Y/N's mother.

"Otou-san!" A little Y/N said as she hugged her father, trying to stop him.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Y/N's father yelled as he continued to hurt her mother.

Crying, Y/N went to the kitchen and found her mother's phone.

She quickly dialed 9-1-1, hoping that the rescuers would come soon.

And because of that, Y/N L/N decided that all men were bad.

Ran Takahashi was the popular boy, yet he was not mean.

He was the kindest and most empathetic person one could ever meet.

Even Y/N herself couldn't help but smile a little when she saw the male walk by.

"Are you okay?" Ran asked when he noticed Y/N glaring intensely at the whiteboard.

"I'm fine, Takahashi," Y/N said, "thank you for your concern."

"You do know it's not good to bottle up your feelings," Ran said softly, "it's better to let it out."

"I've done it my whole life," Y/N admitted.

"Then maybe you need to change," Ran advised.

"You're right," Y/N said, "not."

She stormed away from Ran, furious at herself for talking to a fucking male.

"Y/N?" Ran noticed the girl standing at the bus stop.

It was pouring heavily and the girl was shivering. She was in her uniform, but she didn't have a coat on.

"Here," Ran took off his jacket and put it around the girl's petite shoulders.

"R-r-ran?" Y/N shivered as she looked up to the tall male.

"You're going to catch a cold if you keep on standing here," Ran said, concerned, "I'll walk you home, okay?"

Y/N could do nothing but oblige as Ran held the umbrella above the two as they walked down the cold and dark streets.

When the two finally reached Y/N's apartment, the girl thanked Ran, "thank you, Ran."

"Don't worry about it," Ran smiled kindly.

"Here," Y/N gave back Ran's jacket, "you're not that bad after all."

"I'm glad you think of that," Ran said with a beam, "I'll see you tomorrow, princess."

When the male left, Y/N's heart fluttered as she felt her heartbeat quickened.

Why was Ran Takahashi making her feel that way?

"Hi princess!" Ran smiled the next day during class.

"Ran--" Y/N said as she hit him on the shoulder, "don't call me that in front of everyone."

"So I can call you that when we're alone?" Ran asked cheekily.

"When did you get that sneaky?" Y/N sighed.

"Only for you," Ran smiled.

"Y/N L/N!" Ran yelled from across the street.

Y/N looked at the beaming male in shock as he ran towards her and ruffled her hair.

"Looking pretty as always," Ran complimented.

The girl felt her cheeks redden as she covered her face with her hands.

"Is Y/Nnie getting shy?" Ran asked in a baby voice.

"Shut up, Ran," Y/N scolded as she hit him on the arm.

"You do know I like you right?" Ran confessed as he looked down at the girl.

"Yo-you do?" Y/N stuttered, her eyes meeting Ran's in shock.

"I do, sweetheart," Ran chuckled.

"I li-like you too," Y/N muttered, "but please take care of me."

"Forever and always," Ran smiled, "I promise you."
