Rejection

"Yanagida-san, I like you," Y/N confessed as she gave Masahiro beautiful periwinkle tulips.

"Arigato, L/N-san, but I don't like you that way," Masahiro said with a sorry look as Y/N said.

"Hey, it's fine, don't worry about it," Y/N said kindly as she left the male. Knowing that she took the chance and she didn't get it, she knew she had to move on.

It wasn't until years later before they met again.

Y/N could not recognize the male, only thinking that he was pretty cute.

"Konnichiwa, my name is Y/N L/N, and I'm now the assistant coach of Ryujin Nippon," Y/N smiled friendly.

"Y/N L/N?" Masahiro gasped as Y/N looked at him.

"Hai?" Y/N asked.

"Do you remember me? Masahiro Yanagida?" Masahiro asked desperately.

"Oh! Masahiro, you're the one that rejected me, right?" Y/N said as his other teammates looked at him in surprise.

"Why in the actual fuck would you reject this girl, Masahiro-san?" Yuji said as he went up to Y/N and shook her hand, "don't worry about that guy, he's just dumb."

"Don't blame Yanagida-san. We cannot help with how we feel at times," Y/N said wisely as she waved it off.

"I like your ring," Yuji admitted as he stared at the diamond ring in wonder.

"Arigato, Yuji. This is my wedding ring--YUKI!" Y/N smiled as she ran up to Yuki, who entered into the room, and kissed him.

"My tsuma, how are you? What are you doing here?" Yuki asked, surprised, but nonetheless happy.

"I'm now the assistant coach for this team," Y/N said.

"Awww, that's great!" Yuki exclaimed, "now we can be together more!"

"I need to talk to Coach Blain now, honey. I love you!" Y/N smiled as she kissed Yuki one more time before saying goodbye to the team.

Masahiro knew he'd fucked up.

I'm too late, he thought, why did I even reject her all those years ago?

Oh right, because of my friend's stupid dare to date this other girl, he mourned sadly.
