"Kento? Kento?" Y/N found her boyfriend crying in the little bedroom of their apartment.

she had just came home from work, still in her white blouse, black skirt, and high heels. she instantly put down her purse and tote bag as she rushed to sit down next to Kento, who had his face buried behind his hands. his sobs were heard throughout the tiny apartment, sending a shiver down the girl's spine as concern took over her.

"what's wrong?" the girl asked softly as she wrapped an arm around the boy's broad shoulders.

Kento has never cried, at least, in front of her before. he had always acted strong in front of her, afraid to show the weak side of him.

"if you messed up during a match--" Y/N started, knowing that she hit the right spot when Kento's eyes widened in shock.

"you wouldn't cry for anything else, I think," Y/N continued, her voice always gentle and calm, "but remember, we all make mistakes, alright? no one's perfect, not even Miyaura Kento is perfect. because we all have flaws, and even if you cost your team that game, it was not because of your bad skills. you are imperfect, love. if you were perfect, you'll be a robot."

she finally added, "and I love you. not a robot."

Kento cracked a smile at her cheesy words before hugging the girl tightly, "thank you, darling."

"ouch, you're squeezing me too hard!" Y/N complained. it wasn't her fault that Kento had such strong arms.

"sorry, love," Kento kissed Y/N on the forehead softly.

"feeling better now?" the girl asked, smiling up to look at her boyfriend.

Kento nodded.

"now come on, I have to take a shower now," Y/N got up from the bed but the male held on to her arm.

"together?"

"ew, no, Kento, you pervert," Y/N glared playfully at her boyfriend before exiting out of the room.

the next time that Y/N decided to spectate one of Kento's matches, the male made sure he was as perfect as he can be and win the game.

even Yuki, his captain, could notice his unusually large burn of determination that doesn't show up that often. Kento was a very reserved and quiet player on the team.

"you alright, Kento-kun?" Yuki asked.

"hai, captain!" Kento exclaimed loudly.

"you're ready to go?" Yuki chuckled.

"hai," Kento smiled.

he was ready to show his love that he could be perfect. just for her.

and he did.

throughout the match, Kento got his spike through the opponents' blockers every single time, successfully scoring Japan many points. he was able to block many of the opponents' spikes from the other side. and he saved the ball many times, having been blessed with quick reflexes.

the whole time, Y/N was near the front of the crowd, cheering for him and the team loudly, holding up a Ryujin Nippon banner and wearing one of his spare jerseys, a white number four on the front and back.

she couldn't be more prouder as Japan continued to score points and win match after match, completely destroying the other team.

"MIYAURA KENTO HAS SCORED ANOTHER POINT FOR THE TEAM! GOODNESS SAKES', HE'S GETTING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HIS SPIKES ACROSS THE NET, NOT ONCE WAS HE BLOCKED!"

when Ryujin Nippon finally one the match, 3-1, the whole stadium erupted to loud cheers as Y/N immediately jumped up an down, screaming and cheering happily.

she knew that no matter how much Kento underestimated himself and his abilities, in her eyes, he would always be her one true perfect love.
