i bid good riddance to all the ways i used to be, i'm not the Jeremiah i once was, don't you see the difference? i've experienced love, i tried to have fun, i only learned to give up when the going gets tough. at least i'm not as naive as i once was, i used to spew my life story, now they complain, they don't hear enough. i used to be moved when someone saw me, now i want to dive into the rough & cover myself up. can you imagine? all it took was for her to call out my bluff, she took a mirror out & for the first time i saw myself. i saw who i once was, someone who didn't love themself, someone who felt they'd never be enough, someone who would be better off in life without a heart, what was the use? it never made me jovial. as i looked myself in that mirror, i told myself, "you've got to change, it all starts w/ us." i bid good riddance to all the ways i used to be, i'm not the Jeremiah i once was, don't you see the difference?
