i think pain lives in the heart forever,
i think it waits for its signal to reappear.
i think it has a sense of humor,
it always waits until i'm fully healed.
it's always waiting until i understand myself better.
i think it's got conniving devices tuned into my soul still.
when i take the bandages off,
here comes pain w/ it's troubles,
wounding me until i disappear.
