Howdy all, it's been some time since I have updated anything, and I have various reasons for that. The standard non-exciting ones, such as author's block, my ADHD-addled hyperfocus moving on to other things (do n o t look at my steam playing hours), high school finals, and then getting into university, and quite frankly, simply growing up from a girl of around 14-15-ish when I started this to a whatever of 21 where I am now.
The exciting reason however, is that I spent the last year and a half or so (how long has it been since I updated the sequel?) working on-and-of on remastering the entirety of this fic. As I am writing this, I just finished the first movie in terms of runtime, which, though it still needs some editing and proofreading, currently counts 13 chapters (as opposed to 14) and roughly 43,000 words (as opposed to... well, less than that). Most changes comprise purple prose, minor rewrites, and changes of the narrative in certain places to have a few more romantic moments, because for a romantic fic that lasts 31-odd chapters, they sure only kiss in the last one. Worry not though, because it still very much is a slow burn.
I'll only start posting it when the full monster is done, at which point it will most definitely be found on ao3 under the same title and handle. I will post it here too, but I am as of yet undecided if I just post a new version called Dawn (2024 Remastered Ver.) and delete this version of it, or if I leave this version up for posterity or what have you. I am heavily leaning toward the first option, but the actual day that decision will be made is still a ways off.
