TW: Blood and Death Bodies.

Flashback to when Urokodaki first encountered the demon before it had transformed to what it was now.

Blood splashes onto a wall as a woman’s body was lying in a big pool of blood, as a fire burned from a lantern the demon was eating another dead human and looked up to see a younger Urokodaki standing. The demon started to attack Urokodaki but he deflected it with his katana and landed a few hits on the demon. Then the demon ran as blood dripped, as the demon looked around to see where Urokodaki was; he was on top of a roof and leaped towards the demon. As the demon turned around, Urokodaki swanged his katana.

End of Flashback.

Right when Pierce was about to cut off the demon’s head, the demon saw Urokodaki in him.

Hand Demon’s mind: “Urokodaki!”

The demon’s head fell onto the ground and watched as its body started to crumble.

Hand Demon’s mind: “Damn it!” “My body is starting to disintegrate, I can’t stop it!”

It saw Pierce putting his katana back into its hilt.

Hand Demon’s mind: “Damn it, the last thing I’ll see is the face of that Demon Slayer.”

To its surprised; when Pierce turned around, he had a sad look as if he felt sympathy towards the demon.

Hand Demon’s mind: “Why did this happen?”

Then it felt like a child crying in fear, calling out for his brother in a dark void.

Child: “I’m so scared.” “I’m scared of being alone at night.” “Brother, where are you?” “I want you to hold my hand, just like you always do.”

As the demon’s body disintegrated, Pierce walked up to it.

Child: “Why?” “Why did I kill my older brother?”

The child was the demon before he became one.

Hand Demon: “Huh?” “Who is this ‘brother’ person?”

Pierce: What a sad scent…”

He grabbed the demon’s hand and the hand gently closed on contact. The demon started to cry as Pierce brought its hand to his forehead and prayed.

Pierce: “God, I beg you.” “When this person is reborn, I hope you won’t let him become a demon.”

As if a light had shone in the dark void, the demon ran towards it becoming a child again running towards his older brother.

Child: “Brother!” “Brother!” “Can you hold my hand?”

His brother grabbed his hand as he playfully teased him.

Child’s Brother: “You’re hopeless.” “You’re always so timid.”

The demon’s body was fully disintegrated and Pierce looked at his hands as he thought about Sabito, Makomo, and the others that had died to the demon.

Pierce’s mind: “Sabito, Makomo, and the other people who were murdered.” “I’ve won.” “Please rest in peace.” “You can fulfill your promise to go home, although you’re only left with your soul, go back to Mt. Sagiri.” “Go back to your beloved Master Urokodaki.”

He looked up at the night sky and thought what would have happened if he died to the demon too.

Pierce’s mind: “If I had died, my soul would have returned too.”
