I walked into the recovery room, finding a groggy Connor laying on a bed, his cheeks slightly swollen. He just got his wisdom teeth out. Poor boy.
"Hey Connie, how are you feeling?" I asked concerned
Connor let out a muffled groan.
"I feel like I got hit by a truck. My mouth hurts" he complained
I gently sat down beside him, offering a comforting smile.
"Don't worry babe. It's normal to feel a little sore after getting your wisdom teeth out. I will take care of you."
"Thank you princess. I'm glad you're here." Conner's eyes met mine as I reached out to hold his hand.
"Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" I asked him, wanting to do everything possible that could take his pain away
"Just having you here is enough. Your presence makes everything better." His voice came out in a soft whisper
"I brought my laptop so that we could watch movies" I said pulling out my laptop
"You're the best girlfriend ever" he smiled a me
"Come here" he said patting the free space on the bed
I laid next to him resting my head on his chest. His arm was around my waist as he kissed my temple.
"I love you princess"
"I love you too Connie"
