Annabeth and Kiara were laying in beds as Hayley, Will and Nico, and Rebekah blot sweat from their foreheads and chests.
"Stop fussing, will you? Elijah will be here any minute." Rebekah said.
"I feel like I've been microwaved."Kiara whined.
"Hey! Just because you're carrying babies doesn't mean you get to act like one or be overdramatic!" Rebekah remarked.
Elijah rans in with Hades, Kol, Marie and Sophie. Rebekah stands to greet them.
"What the hell is she doing here?" Will asked, gesturing to Sophie.
" I'm trying to help." Sophie sighed.
" Help? You're the reason we're in this bloody mess! Why aren't we unlinked with this witch already, Elijah?" Nico asked.
"Will, let her do what she can." Elijah said, calmly.
"I may know a way to slow the fever down. But, I'm gonna need some special herbs. I'll text you a list." Sophie explained while she turned to look at Rebekah.
Elijah nodded at her in encouragement, and though Rebekah does not look pleased to be being ordered around again, she eventually relents and smiles at them patronizingly "Fine. Happy to play the fetch girl."
Rebekah stomps out of the room, and shoves the washcloth she was using into Elijah's chest as she leaves with Nico.
Marie and Kol walked up to the pregnant girls on the bed. Kol sat down to Annabeth, placing the damped cloth over her head as Marie did the same for Kiara.
"Where the hell is Nik?" Kiara whispered.
" Klaus is making sure to find Agnes. You know, he's better at getting information out of people faster and he almost killed Sophie when we found her. It's keeping him distracted from going into a killing spree." Marie spoke softly to her daughter.
"Okay. Okay, thank you."Kiara whispered, shakily.
To calm her, Marie holds her daughter's hand softly.
Afterwards, Annabeth and Kiara were wrapped in towels, sitting outside beside the simming pool. Rebekah and Hayley stand behind the pregnant girls, checking their temperatures, while Elijah and Kol assisted Marie, Hades, Will and Sophie in helping with the herbs. Elijah removed his coat.
"They're burning up! We need to do this now." Elijah said.
"Get them in the water!" Marie ordered.
Kol jumped into the pool and helped Annabeth in, Elijah doing the same for Kiara. Will, Marie, Hades and Sophie mixed herbs in a cup and followed them in.
"I don't see how a midnight swim is supposed to help."Hayley said.
"Their temperatures are sky-high. The water, with the help of the herbs, should cool us down."Will explained as Sophie gets into the pools and hands Annabeth the drink.
"Drink this!" Sophie instructed.
Annabeth drinks and hand it to Kiara. Sophie turned to Elijah and Kol.
"You're going to have to get their heart rate down." Sophie said.
"How do you suggest we do that?" Kol asked.
"Hold them. It's a natural human remedy to slow the heart rate and reduce blood pressure."Marie answered.
"This is never gonna work." Rebekah says, worried.
Kol was holding Annabeth in bridal-style in the pool, Elijah and Kiara were also in the same position.
"Davina will break the link, we just need time. We have to believe in that."Elijah told them.
Kiara and Annabeth cling to Elijah and Kol. They groaned as they gasped for breath.
In the swimming pool, Kiara hyperventilates.
" I can't breathe!" Kiara exclaimed.
"Okay, long deep breaths, Kiara! Look at me. Long deep breaths, just focus on the sound of my voice. You'll be okay. You'll be okay."Elijah whispered.
" AHHHH! AHHHH!"Kiara yelled.
Sophie started to gasp as the linking spell begin to lift. Kiara and Annabeth continued to groan in pain. Sophie looked up at the sky as she said "I just felt it lift."
Rebekah, Marie, Hayley, Hades and Will sighed in relief. Kiara and Annabeth start to calm down, and Elijah looked stunned. Kiara stands up on her own, but still leans against Elijah. Kol was still holding Annabeth bridal-style. Sophie removes one of her earrings and pokes her palm with it. Kiara, and Annabeth don't get injured. Elijah quickly lets go and leads Kiara out of the pool.
"Come on, let's go." Elijah said.
Kol, Elijah, Annabeth, Kiara and Hayley exited the pool.
"Elijah... as soon as your brother find out that the link is broken, he'll kill Agnes. I know you don't owe me anything, but please, don't let him kill her." Sophie said.
Elijah zooms out of the pool and pulls his phone out of his jacket on the table.
"Elijah! She's our only access to the power we need to survive. Promise me that you'll stop him!" Sophie pleaded.
Elijah dialed a number into his phone and raises it to his ear.
" It's me, where are you? Don't hurt her. I'll be there shortly." Elijah said on the phone before he hung up.
He then turns to Sophie and said "I'll make you one last promise. I won't let my brother kill Agnes."
Sophie nods at him gratefully, and Elijah picks up his jacket and shoes and walks away. Sophie turn to get out of the pool, but Kiara stopped Sophie at the steps.
"I know you were just using us to save your people, but try it again, and I'll kill you."Kiara threatened.
Kiara and Annabeth exited the pool, and Sophie sighed in defeat.
Later that night, they heard a doorbell and go to answer the door, Annabeth and Annabeth were with Hayley.
They are greeted by Josh and asked "Where is he? I've been trying to find him all day. Marcel knows that Klaus lied to him about where he lives. "
"We're not his damn keeper, Josh."Hayley sighed.
"Fine! Just... tell him to call me, please." Josh said in frustration.
"Of course." Kiara says, nodding as she shut the door about to walk away when she heard the door again.
"Ugh, what the hell, Josh?" Annabeth groaned and opened the door and saw it was Marcel.
"Hello there girls, and young man, I'm Marcel. I don't think we've met!" Marcel smiled.
"Marcel. What do you want?" Hades asked, walking into the room with Marie as they put the girls behind them.
"I was hoping to speak to Klaus, you wouldn't happen to know where he is would you?" Marcel said.
"Well, he's not here, if that's what you asking."Annabeth mumbled.
"You should leave."Marie told Marcel.
"Well this has been a pleasure. See you around." Marcel says as he leaves.
Marie closed the door.
Hayley went into the backyard for some fresh air.
Suddenly, Annabeth and Kiara spot Hayley falling to the ground, Annabeth and Kiara's eyes widening feeling a hard impact on the back of their heads.
Before any of them could do anything, they were knocked out unconscious.
