Kabanata 8
"STRANGE"

Nakaka turn off pala kapag nakita mo ang crush mo na nakikipag halikan sa iba. Actually, wala naman akong karapatan na magalit sa kanya. Ano ba kami? Wala naman diba? We're just friends and I'm just a fan of his.

I spend some time alone in the mall. I do window shopping and sometimes buy some things just to distract myself. Ayaw kong isipin masyado ang nakita because I felt like, it's not worth it.

I feel sad, disappointed, and hurt all at the same time. Pero ayaw kong manatili ang ganuong pakiramdam lalo pa't ito ang unang pagkakataon na nasaktan ako dahil sa lalaking nagugustuhan.

My stomach growl and I was already starving so I walked on the mall and tried to find a restaurant so I could eat my early dinner.

Tuluyan akong naupo sa isang pandalawahang lamesa bago ibinagsak sa tabi ang mga pinamili. Dalawang paper bag lang iyon. Isang bag at perfume. I was expecting to buy some more pero wala akong masyadong nagustuhan.

"Thank you." I smiled lightly at the waiter after he put my food down.

I took my utensil and started to ate alone, then suddenly I feel lonely for a moment. Ngumiwi ako ng matikman ang aking in-order. I don't like the taste of it. Hindi masarap.

I sighed heavily again. I was starving but I don't have an appetite. I'm not sure if it's because of what happened earlier or is it because my food doesn't taste good.

Sumimangot ako at tinitigan ang pagkain sa aking harapan. It looks delicious but it wasn't when you taste it.

Inilibot ko ang tingin sa restaurant. Its my first time to dine here so I just order whatever I thought was good. Akala ko masarap. Hindi pala.

Ngumuso ako ng may maisip. Parang sa pag-ibig lang. Pagnakita mo akala mo perpekto pero kapag kinilala mo, hindi pala.

Hindi ko na alam kung ilang beses na akong bumuntong hininga. Paulit ulit ko iyong ginawa habang nakatingin sa aking pagkain.

Wala na nga akong gana, hindi pa masarap ang pagkain.

I sighed again and continue to stuffed the food in my mouth and try to swallowed. I even drank my water just to push the food down in my throat.

"I'll eat here." Ani ng pamilyar na boses na siyang ikinagulat ko.

My eyes widened and my lips parted a bit after I saw Argus sat in front of me. The waiter smile at me as he put Argus plate and he's order on my table.

"Enjoy your meal, sir." The waiter said after he leave.

"Thank you." Argus said using his deep voice.

"What are you doing here?" Nakakakunot na tanong ko pagkatapos makabawi sa gulat.

"I'm here to eat my dinner." Ani saka nagsimulang pumulot ng pagkain bago sinulyapan ang plato ko.

"Really?" Sarkastikong sabi ko. "Are you stalking me?"

Tumaas ang kilay niya at tinitigan ako. "Don't start a fight with me. I don't want to lose my appetite."

I pursed my lips and glared at him. "Well...I already lose my appetite and your just making it worst."

Mabilis siyang natigilan at tinitigan ako ng matalim.

"This is how you're going to treat me after I send you here?" He said with gritted teeth. "Really, Cassie?"

My brows furrowed. "Why are you always calling me, Cassie?"

Natigilan siya sa pagkain at tinitigan ako.

"Because I like to call you that way." Simpleng sagot niya.
