"HANDSOME"

He's a nerd, alright...

He spend too much time in the library reading books and searching for things in front of a computer. He wear glasses and those typical clothes. The only thing I like about him is being clean. Sa sobrang linis, iisipin ko nang med students siya.

Wala namang masama kung nerd ka at wala naman talaga akong pakealam kung nerd siya. Sinabi ko lang naman yun para matauhan siya at huwag masyadong feeling na gustong gusto siya ng lahat. Dahil hindi lang siya nerd para sa akin, ang yabang pa! Pakiramdam ko ay lumalaki ang ulo niya dahil sa mga compliment ng Tao.

"Are you okay, Pia?" my mom asked me silently beside her.

I snapped at the thought and turn to her to give her a small smile. "Yes, mom. May iniisip lang po."

I just got home from Palawan, and my family and I are currently having dinner at an exclusive restaurant with Kuya Martin and his family to discuss about the progress of the wedding next month, including its attendees, and other business matters.

I looked at Ate Paulina beside Kuya Martin who frown at me, then my eyes landed a bit on Marco, Kuya Martin's younger brother who looked at me with amusement, while McKenna, their younger sister has an obvious question in her eyes.

"I heard you were at Dela Vega's party last night, hija. How was it?" tanong sa akin ni Tita Dahlia, ang mommy ni Kuya Martin.

"It was a great party, Tita. I enjoyed a lot." Nakangiting sagot ko.

The night went well except for the fact that Argus and I have an argument, and the incident after the party, where Aris and Cyprian got into a fight after my friends and I played truth or dare. We all panic after Cyprian left the mansion without us knowing. The security of the Dela Vega's tried to search the entire premises just to find her. Fortunately, Cyprian safely came back with Aris, and that they reconciled quickly, if not, I would have confronted them both and made them admit their feelings for each other so they would realize their mistake and cease their arguments.

Tumango siya. "The fact that the party was celebrated in Palawan was enough reason to go. I mean, who wouldn't want to? The scenery is stunning and I was tempted to check out their five-star hotel. Unfortunately, the board had an emergency meeting so we couldn't go."

Mom chuckled. "Kami din naman, gusto ding pumunta, but were unable to due to our busy schedules. So I encourage Pia to attend on behalf of our family. Besides, my daughter is very close to the celebrant, and she's socially adept so she can fit in with ease."

"Hmmm... I already see that." Tita Dahlia said meaningfully. "But what about school? Is she also good at it?" She smirked at mom.

My mother cleared her throat while I shifted uncomfortably on my seat. They know that I'm not really taking my education seriously kaya hindi ko alam ang isasagot ni mommy sa tanong ni Tita Dahlia.

Isang beses akong sinulyapan ni mommy bago siya ngumiti sa kanila. "Well, I have no problem with her study. She gets good grades without putting a lot of effort. And I'm proud to say that over the past few days, I've noticed how she put too much time studying than going out with her friends."

Tita Dahlia looked at me with question as if she was doubting mom's statement, while Mommy turned to me with a smile and held my arm lightly.

"I guess she's taking her education seriously in order to get ready for college."

I bit my lip at my mother's response. I thought she would lie about it considering how often she brags about us - her children, most specially to her amigas. She constantly wants the public to perceive us favorably, so she describe us as someone who is an outgoing, attractive, reserved, and diligent, when in all honestly, I take academic less seriously and was mostly active in Zetes fans club, while Ate Paulina spend too much time with her friends and suitors.
