Questions spun in her head like a carousel as she laid in her bed.

'Was she a monster like the book said? Or was I just imagining her tail?' more questions flooded her mind like a faucet until they were interrupted by knocking at her door.

"Hey, sweetpea? You alright in there? You haven't came out in a while.' Simon asked, worried for his daughter.

" I'm fine, just thinking." Rosemary replied as she sat up, hoping to ease her father's worries.

"Well, okay then. Just be sure to come out every once in a while." Her father had said before departing from her door and down the staircase.

'Just relax Rose, you'll figure this out in the morning.. Some sleep should do you some good.' Rosemary thought to herself as she got ready for bed.

The next morning, she crawled all the way to the door and did the whole cycle again,

she picked up the book and started to read more of it to understand the story better.

'I don't know how long it has been since I saw the beautiful flowers of the surface, everything seems so dull.. We're trying to break the barrier but alas, no luck has turned up.. Maybe someday we'll get out of here.. We just gotta stay patient.

Every monster is just as sick as I am.. Sick of being here.. But hope must be the key thing here, we have to have hope if we're ever gonna make it out.

I just hope there's some sort of sign of luck heading our way..'

As Rosemary was reading, Lilac decided to sneak up behind her.

"ROAR!" She shouted, making Rosemary to accidentally throw the book across the room, they looked at each other for a moment then started to bust out laughing.

"Why did you throw the book?" Lilac asked as she was gasping for air because she was laughing so hard.

"I panicked!" Rosemary said as she continued laughing.

they both regained their composure and caught their breath.

"Good to see you." Lilac said.

"You too." Rosemary replied. They began to talk for a while until it was time for Rosemary to go, as she crawled into her home, her mother, father and uncle had been waiting for her.

"What have you been doing inside the wall?" Her mother had asked.

'Oh crap..' Rosemary had thought.

'How do I explain...?'
