Rosemary's Weird Journey

Part 17: A School Driven To Madness

The trio decided to be cautious, treading along the hallways, looking down each hallway to make sure no one's there.

They have venturing the school for a good while until a sound erupted from the janitor's closet, a metal object must've fallen and hit the ground, Bruce opened the door to see a can on the floor, looked like had fallen from the shelf above.

He picked it up and examined it.

"Huh...Unusual for canned food to be stocked in the janitor's closet.... Was someone living here at one point..?" Bruce observed his surroundings a bit more when he felt a bad feeling....A sickening....Feeling...

"In the closet now!" He whispered as he shoved Lilac and Rosemary in the closet and swiftly shuffling in, closing the door behind him and peeking through the shutters.

"Hey! What was that for?!" Rosemary apprehended him.

"Shh!" Bruce shushed as he put his hand on her mouth, it looked like he was trying to look out for something outside the closet.

The janitor walked by...But...He looked...creepy...The light in his eyes were gone...It looked like he was wielding a weapon.. It looked sharp so it could easily be a knife.

He wasn't a normal janitor..."Come out, come out wherever you are..."

He had called out in a husky, low tone.

He struck fear in the school that once was filled with children..

He certainly struck fear into the hearts of our wanderers.

"Looks like it's safe to come out, just be careful and quiet." Bruce confirmed as he quietly exited the closet, followed close behind by the girls.

Blood trailed down the path of the Janitor, they decided to go the opposite way, which led them to a cafeteria.

The place looked abandoned, the trays of served food looked empty and bloodied.

a blood trail could be seen going to the kitchen.

They had followed it like most horror movies, they immediately zoomed out of the kitchen and stopped right next to the door way and peeked into the kitchen to see a lunch lady, she was a big woman, she had a cleaver in hand, chopping up meat, though it didn't look like it was animal meat...She suddenly stopped, she turned around, she had a mole on her chin, her face was wrinkled.

"I know your there, come out now." She had a british accent with a rough sounding voice.

The trio ran, the lunch lady grunted and chased after them.

"YOU'LL ONLY MAKE THINGS WORSE FOR YOURSELVES IF YOU KEEP RUNNING FROM ME!!" The lunch lady had shouted, waving the bloodied cleaver in the air.

They had made a B line to the lockers and each hid in them in some distance from each other.

The lunch lady growled when she didn't see them anymore and went back to the cafeteria kitchen.

They peeked through the shutters, there was no sight of her, they all soon got out.

They carefully treaded through the halls.

They saw a classroom and they went inside to investigate.

They saw a person in a chair...Talking to themselves...

They were rocking back in forth in their chair, mumbling incoherent words to themselves.

"Hello..?" Rosemary called out hesitantly.

The person stopped....They slowly peered from their chair, a crazed look was set in stone of their face.

a smile soon stretched over the person's face.

"Oh why hello... Came to learn about SCIENCE..?"

The teacher looked like they have gone mad..

"U-uh...No...We just came over to investigate the room..."

Lilac replied as she cowered behind Bruce.

The smile plastered on the teacher's face soon faded to a frown.

Their hair looked frazzled, their clothes, wrinkled and rugged. They sharpened a pencil to the point of it being very sharp.

Their frown turned to a sinister smile as they glanced at the trio, "If you don't want to learn...Maybe those eyes are good for nothing!" The teacher shouted as they threw the pencil, aiming it at Lilac's eye, they all fled from that room.

The science teacher shrugged and went back to mumbling to their self.

The trio ran far away from that classroom and accidentally bumped into the Janitor, he swung the knife at them, they fled, they had the Janitor hot on their tracks when they swooped into another room and hiding under desks.

The janitor grumbled and walked away.

The trio sighed in relief, they had got out from under the desks.

"*Sigh* when will this nightmare be over soon?"

Rosemary whined, Bruce rolled his eyes at her complaints.

"Stop whinin', we'll get out of here soon enough. We're probably one step closer to getting that bad fortune off you."

Bruce reassured as he patted her back.

They exited the room, looking for a way out.

Rosemary found a suspicious door, she opened it and there led a black void with a path leading so far into the dark.

She called out for Bruce and Lilac, they both saw the same thing she saw.

"Welp, let's go." Bruce casually said as he strolled amongst the void with Lilac following, Rosemary sighed and followed close behind.

When they got close to another door, Bruce opened it and they were met with a blinding white light.

'What the..? I can't see anything! It's too bright!!'

Rosemary thought as her eyes hurt.
