Rosemary's Weird Journey

Part 12: Down In The Rabbit Hole

(Trigger warning: Suicide)

Rosemary had said before walking ahead. They walked down the path, it was like it was never ending.. They came across some weird noises coming from the trees, or... What was behind them... They decided to shrug it off, thinking it might've been animals.
That... Was their first mistake..
As they traveled down the path, there was rustling noise from the trees.
It was fairly heavy to be an animal, because of the leaves falling from the trees.

the figure was sticking out from the trees, but it was too foggy for the trio to get a good look at it.
But they knew a humanoid figure was following them, they ran to hopefully lose the creature, but the creature was fast as light, bolting right infront of them.

The trio ran faster into the other way, making the creature screech with anger as it chased them.
They were VERY lucky they found a bush to hide in, they slid into the bush and stayed absolutely silent and still.

The creature let out a angered loud growl as it couldn't find them, it went on it's way where the trio came in from.

They quietly made a break for it, they found a door, they opened it and fell into a hole..

After a good while of falling, they hit the ground, the trio were unconscious for a bit,
The trio soon woke up to see they were in another weird place.

"What in the world...? WHAT KIND OF RABBIT HOLE IS THIS??!!" Rosemary had shouted as she gripped her hair, trying desperately to understand but couldn't.
"Rosemary! Please try to stay calm! W-we can get through this! Just takes the power of the mind! This looks like a corn maze.." Lilac urged, she looked around Rosemary and the uncle to make sure the coast was clear.

"We just need to get through the maze. Alright?"
Lilac continued, trying to stay positive.
"I guess your right.. Okay, let's go."
Rosemary said as she took Lilac's hand to stand up.

The trio walked into the corn maze and so far were doing good until something chilling stopped them in their tracks..

They saw a dead body hanging from a tree, it looked like the person hanged them self.
"What the heck..? Did they kill their self..?"
The uncle asked himself.
"Sure looks like it.."
Rosemary answered.

The trio froze in place for a good solid minute.
They carefully went around the tree and continued on the path they were on.

They knew they were going on the right path,
but didn't know something was following them..
Something sinister..

The trio came across another dead body but this time... It was an animal.. Looked like a cat...

"Jeez... How many dead bodies are there in this maze..?"
The uncle whispered to himself as he stared at the cat.

"Poor cat.." Rosemary said quietly as she stared at the cat too.

They continued on, feeling a bit sad now.
They saw another door.
They tried to open it, but it was locked.

"I can lockpick, gimme a sec."
Lilac said as she pulled out a lockpick and successfully opened the door. But what was inside was gut wrenching..

Inside the room was a bunch of bloody tools, looked like they were construction tools.
They stared in complete shock before noticing the blood trail that was on the floor.

"What kind of person would do this..?"
Rosemary asked herself in a whisper.
"Someone who is screwed in the head.. That's who.."
The uncle said, frozen in place.

'We need to figure out this mess... Before it gets too messy..'
