Derek.

It's been a couple of hours since they brought the baby in.

Derek fell asleep while I was feeding her so I've been taking care of her and trying to keep her quiet so Derek doesn't wake up.

I gave the diaper bag right next to me so I changed her diaper a couple of minutes ago before I fed her.

While Derek's been sleeping I've been thinking about names. I've been staring at her face for hours to see what name fits her best.

I think I have one but I when to run it by Derek before signing the birth certificate.

She's feeding much better than she was the first time I fed her. She had a hard time at first but she's doing much better.

She's currently asleep in my arms but she starts to wake. She starts to cry a bit.

I untie my robe pull it down halfway and lift her a bit so she can latch on.

She latches on quickly and starts to nurse. After about ten minutes Derek starts to stir awake.

"How long have I been out?" He groans rubbing his face with his hands.

"A couple of hours, three or four," I say. "How is she?" He asks standing up and sitting down on the side of the bed.

"She's doing fine. She cried a bit but not a whole lot. Surprised she didn't wake you, she's pretty high-pitched," I say.

"Well then she's for your vocal cords," he says placing his hand on her head and rubbing his thumb over her a couple of times.

"She's beautiful," he says. "That she is," I say.

"So have you thought about names while I was asleep?" He says.

"I have, I've been staring at her face for over four hours to think of a name that fits her best but.. I don't know, she's a hard one," I say.

"Have you thought of any names you like?" He says. "Nova, Nova Alessia... but I'm not sure. I was waiting to run it by you first," I say.

"It's a beautiful name. Do you like it for you?" He asks. "Yes, I do," I say. "Then it's hers," he says.

"Are you sure? We haven't really given it much thought," I say.

"If you think she's a Nova then she is," he smiles. He kisses my cheek.

"When is Amelia coming with the kids today?" I ask.

"When I called her she said she would bring them in the afternoon after their nap so they're not whiny and you'll be awake so you're not exhausted and grumpy," he says.

"How are we going to do four kids? We practically have two sets of twins," I say.

"Amelia will help out. She's already offered to temporarily move in with us. She'll mostly help with Adelina and Romeo so we can take care of the younger two," he says.

"Doesn't she still live with your parents, won't they think it's weird she disappears for a couple of months and then returns?" I say.

"They know you're pregnant, they'll probably figure it out that she's helping us out," he says.

"As long as we don't get any surprise visits," I say.

"You mean like when you woke up in the middle of the night and went downstairs to see her on the couch with Fay?" He chuckles.

"It was three in the morning. Have you given them our new address?" I say.

"No, they don't know where we live yet. It's probably best the least amount of people know where live. You piss my mother off the right way she'll tip off the press," he says.

"You think she would do that to you?" I say.

"I'm no longer the number one target. You and the kids are," he says.

"So she knows if someone breaks in they kill me while you escape," I say.

"In her mind, yes. She knows how the mafia works. She's been married to my father for thirty years, she knows everything about the mafia there is, minus the experience," he says.

"What about your father? The kids love your dad," I say.

"I don't think he would do something like that. He loves the kids and he likes you. I know you two get along pretty well," he says.

"Do you think he would let it slip and tell your mother?" I say.

"I doubt it. He gets her what she wants but if he doesn't want to give it to her he can be pretty stubborn," he says.

"We'll think about it. We should wait until she's a bit older," I say.

"I agree. As long as it keeps the kids safe," he says.

"You should tell the doctors we have a name for the birth certificate. I'll clean her diaper and get her dressed for when Amelia gets here with the kids," I say. He nods before getting up and leaving the room.
