It had been exactly 1 year since Beca and Chloe's break up. Neither girl had gotten over it and they hadn't been with anyone else since. They both still loved one another but couldn't tell each other. Beca still lived in the apartment. She worked at the same place but she spent all her time on music. She constantly wrote. All inspired by Chloe. She had a new album coming out next month titled "Locks Of Fire". Every song on it was about Chloe. Whether Beca had written it in college or on the day she put the album together, Chloe was the muse for every single song. It was so bad now that even people at Beca's work knew it.
Chloe had become head veterinarian at the same place she worked before. She loved it. She always thought about how close Beca was to her, only 6 blocks, yet somehow they never ran into each other. She missed Beca like mad but knew that she had hurt her.

Beca's PoV:
Beca was on her break from lunch. Sometimes she went to the tree that she carved her and Chloe's initials into and traced them with her finger. 'Our future', she thought. 'A future of sadness and longing.' When they had done that, they thought they were invincible. Nothing could break them apart. But in the end, all it took was a few messages. Beca knew that she overreacted but she had a right to. Chloe was friends with a guy that had kissed her in front of Beca. It wasn't right. But Beca knew that she should have heard Chloe out. She regretted it every day since then. Today, Beca decided to go visit the tree. She hadn't done that in a few weeks so she thought it would be nice to do it today. She strolled along the street, making sure to go around the block that Chloe worked in, and made her way to Central Park. She walked around and found the tree. Just as she was going around the back of it, she saw bright red hair. She stopped in her tracks and stood there. Unsure of what to do. She hadn't seen her yet so Beca could either run, stay where she was, or go say hi. Before she could decide, the red hair spun around and instead of it facing Beca, a beautiful girl with the biggest blue eyes was now standing, unable to speak, in front of Beca.
"Ch- Chloe. Hi." Beca said very awkwardly and smiled.

Chloe's PoV:
Today had been a year since Beca told Chloe to leave. Chloe wasn't feeling the best today so she took the day off work and decided to go visit her and Beca's tree. She hadn't been there since the last time she went with Beca but she was really missing them today so she did. She stopped into a small cafe on the way there and got a coffee. Instead of getting her usual order, she got Beca's favourite. An iced caramel latte with whipped cream and sprinkles. Chloe never understood why Beca liked it but she herself had become accustomed to them whenever she missed Beca. She got to Central Park pretty quickly and went straight to the tree. Even thought she hadn't been there in over a year, she still remembered exactly which one it was. She sat down alone where she once had arms holding her and ate a sandwich she had made at home. When she finished, she got up and went around the back of the tree. It was still there, she looked at the heart with her and Beca's initials. 'If I had just told her I was friends with him. I would still have her now. If I ever get to see her again, I'm telling her how I feel.' Chloe thought to herself.
She stood there looking at the letters for a few minutes and then heard some leaves rustle on the ground behind her. She turned around and couldn't believe what she was seeing. If someone had put those deep blue eyes in front of her, just the eyes, she could tell you who it was. Chloe instantly felt lost in those eyes even though they felt like home.
"Ch- Chloe. Hi." The young girl looked tired, like she never slept. But Chloe could view a glimpse of hope behind the blue ocean.
"Beca. Hello."
