arabella had stayed with murphy the whole night to make sure he was safe when he couldn't defend himself. she wasn't feeling too good though, a slight sweat had formed all across her body but she chose to ignore it. that was until blood began to drip out of her eyes.

murphy was sleeping so she didn't want to wake him so she stumbled out of the dropship, feeling dizzy all of a sudden. she had to use the dropship to stand herself up.

arabella looked around to see the same thing happening to some of the others. "clarke?" she called out, her voice worried. the girl noticed clarke and raven and stumbled towards them.

"raven, get away from us." clarke spoke.

"what?" raven questioned.

"we're the ones who brought murphy in."

arabella rushed back towards the dropship to see murphy throwing up blood. "murphy!" she said weakly.

"bella? what's happening?" he looked up at her in worry.

she dropped to her knees, her legs feeling extremely weak. clarke came into the dropship and walked up to the two.

"murphy, hey, look at me." clarke spoke to him. "i need you to tell me exactly how you escaped from the grounders. what happened?"

arabella moved closer to him to try and feel some warmth, she gently rubbed his back.

"i don't know. i woke up, and they forgot to lock my cage." he spluttered, blood dripping out of his mouth. "there was no one there, so i took off."

clarke was silent for a moment. "they let you go."

bellamy entered the drop ship just as arabella began to throw up blood just as murphy did.

"bellamy, stay back." clarke quickly told him.

he stepped closer to arabella. "bell-" she couldn't speak as blood continued to leave her mouth.

"did he do something to her?" he asked in anger, clarke shook her head. "what the hell is this?"

"biological warfare." she replied. "you were waiting for the grounders to retaliate from the bridge? this is it. murphy's the weapon."

arabella laid herself on the ground, her body shaking from being so cold. she managed to move herself over to murphy.

clarke sat him up and tried to wipe the blood away from his face.

"is this your revenge, helping the grounders kill us?" bellamy asked.

"i didn't know about this, i swear." murphy weakly spoke.

"stop lying!" bellamy yelled. "when are they coming?"

"bellamy, stop it." arabella told him, her voice raspy. "please."

"murphy, think, all right?" clarke told him softly. "what can you tell us that's useful? did you hear anything?"

murphy shook his head. "they are vicious, cruel."
