arabella felt herself being lifted up, she tried to use her legs but the guards were walking too fast for her to keep up. she slowly opened her eyes, her vision a blur.

"how many of you are there?" she heard a woman speak to clarke.

the two girls were dragged inside the camp, arabella watched as people cowered away from them.

"wait!" she heard a familiar voice shout

"once the prisoners are secured-" the woman from before tried to speak.

"they aren't prisoners. that's my daughter and kane's daughter."

it was abby griffin. she and her father were on the exodus ship. they were supposed to be dead.

abby rushed over to clarke, holding her face. the guards then slowly let go of arabella, stepping away from her. she sat herself up watching the interaction between clarke and abby.

"clarke." abby spoke, relief in her voice.

arabella looked at the people all around her, two guards stood a safe distance away from her. at this moment all she could think about was bellamy. her vision was still a little blurry she tried looking around for him but couldn't see him anywhere.

...

arabella and clarke had been placed into a medical tent. of course, abby's main focus was clarke, so it was jackson tending to arabella.

arabella had so many questions to ask but she was too exhausted to speak, and she was afraid she wouldn't like the answers to the questions she had. so instead of talking arabella went to sleep instead, they could help her injuries while she slept.

...

it was light outside when arabella finally woke up, her head was pounding but she already felt a lot better compared to the previous night, she slowly sat herself up, touching her face and feeling multiple cuts and gashes but at least she was no longer covered in dirt.

clarke was also awake and speaking to her mom.

"clarke? you okay." arabella spoke her voice quiet.

clarke nodded with a small smile from the bed beside her. "you?"

"i'm not dead, counts for something." arabella let out a small laugh. "abby?"

"yes, sweetheart?" she replied.

"is my dad alive? i thought you guys were on the exodus ship."

"yes, he's alive, arabella, we weren't on the ship. your dad went out with a team two days ago to make peace with the grounders to get both of you and the others back." abby spoke, looking between the girls.

"mom, i told you the grounders don't have us." clarke said, she looked around the room. "how long have we been asleep?"

"about ten hours." abby replied, reaching for clarke's hand.

arabella and clarke exchanged a glance and began sitting up to leave the medical tent.

"alright, girls. slow down." abby tried helping them at once.
