"anya, we've been walking for hours." clarke spoke, arabella standing beside her. "where are we going?" she asked. 

"quiet." anya said in annoyance, dragging arabella and clarke behind her. 

"why not just kill us and get it over with?" clarke asked her, resulting in a look from arabella. 

"you can tell the commander what the mountain men are doing to us in there." 

clarke stopped, making anya turn around to face the two girls. "so let's work together we don't have to be enemies."

"and unite with people as weak as you two?" she replied. "i have what i need."

"hey." clarke pulled back the rope, making anya face them again. "we both want the same thing."

before anya could speak they saw green lights flash over at them, anya pulled the girls down to the ground. "get down."

"they found us." arabella whispered. 

there were shouts in the distance and tranquilizer darts flying at them. "run." anya said, pulling the girls behind her. 

clarke sneakily grabbed one of the darts and shoved it into her pocket.

the girls had finally escaped the mountain men and were now waking, clarke stepped onto a twig making it snap loudly.

"quiet." anya hissed. "you can't even walk in the woods."

"if we're such a burden, then cut us loose." clarke snapped back at anya. 

"heavy footfalls, broken branches." anya muttered. "arabella knows how to be quiet, why don't you." she added. 

arabella let out a small laugh, sending clarke a teasing smile. anya took the girls up a hill. "you even smell like them." 

once they reached the top, they turned around to see the mountain men below.

"how do they keep finding us?" arabella asked, her voice barely even a whisper.

they continued to walk away from the mountain men, still being dragged around by anya. 

the girls came to a stop. "down." anya ordered.

arabella and clarke crouched down, cupping their hands with water. 

"no. not to drink." anya told them. 

arabella put her hands up in defence, dropping the water. 

"then why stop? we should be running." clarke said to her.

anya put her hand in the water scooping up some mud, then rubbing it across clarke's face.

arabella put her hand over her mouth to conceal her laugh, then anya did the same to her, wiping the smile off her face.

"you both reek. cover yourself in it." 

arabella watched anya rub the mud all over her clothes, so she did the same. scooping up the mud with her hands rubbing it all over her and on her face. clarke then soon followed.
