arabella woke up to feeling strong arms slightly tighten around her. she was still trying to process that her and bellamy were finally becoming something more than just two friends who constantly flirted with each other. the girl turned around to face bellamy, who had a soft smile on his face.

"nobody's ever looked at me the way you look at me." arabella whispered, her hand moving to play with bellamy's hair.

bellamy smiled. "i never want to stop looking at you, bella."

arabella hid her smile. "to be honest, i think i could get used to waking up to you."

"well, you would've had to get used to it either way, sweetheart." bellamy told her, his hand softly moving across her ribs.

"is that so?" she asked, a knowing smile on her lips.

bellamy nodded, his eyes not being able to look away from arabella's face.

...

arabella and bellamy had left his, or now their tent, to make sure the camp wasn't falling apart without them. it was going to be a day of work and nothing else.

arabella quickly had something to eat and went to find murphy.

"murphy." arabella called out to him when she saw him.

the boy turned around. "hey, bella."

she gave him a quick hug. "bellamy needs us to carry on with the foxholes, all day." the girl let out a quick sigh. "even though, clarke, finn, and monty are still missing."

"okay, got it." murphy nodded. "if you guys need a team to go find them i'll join you."

"okay, thank you. i'm still not sure what's happening, clarke, finn, and monty should be more of a priority, but whatever i guess." she trailed off looking over at bellamy.

"are you two together?" murphy asked.

"i think so?" arabella shrugged. "maybe?"

murphy nodded, his smile trying to hide how much his heart just broke.

...

arabella had been helping people with digging the foxholes until she heard a gunshot. the girl quickly jumped up, grabbed her gun, and ran towards the sound.

"what the hell is the matter with you?" she heard bellamy yell. "that bullet was one dead grounder!"

"i'm sorry i fell asleep. i've been on watch all day." the boy panicked

she ran up to bellamy. "bell, give him a break."

bellamy grabbed the boy by his collar. "we've all been on watch all day! that bullet was one less dead grounder."

"bell, you're scaring people." ocativa spoke softly to her brother.

"they should be scared." he yelled.

"bellamy." arabella warned.

the man let go of the boy and turned to everyone. "the bomb on the bridge bought us some time to prepare, but that time is up! the grounders are out there right now, waiting for us to leave and picking us off one by one when we do." he shouted loudly. "clarke, finn, and monty are gone, probably dead, and if you wanna be next, i can't stop you. but no guns are leaving this camp! this camp is the only thing keeping us alive!" bellamy was silent for a moment, and arabella looked over at him softly.
