arabella and clarke sat in the common room, both of them trying to figure out a plan to escape mount weather. clarke had a copy of the map, she looked at it once more before scrunching it up and tossing it on the ground.
the girls looked up when one of the people in the room spoke up to one of their friends. "langston. where you going, man? tonight's movie night."
"i got to pass. doc says i got one more treatment." langston replied to his friend.
clarke stared at the man, looking at arabella. "that's the one who was covered in radiation burns." she whispered.
"wait, what? no way." arabella's eyes widened, as she looked back at the man.
langston walked past the girls, giving them a brief glance. "we need to follow him." clarke told arabella, who nodded and followed after the man, clarke right beside her.
they followed the man to the elevator, watching as the doors closed behind him. the girls glanced at each other.
"we need to get into medical." arabella told clarke.
"i have an idea, it's gonna hurt though." clarke looked at arabella with a smile.
...
the girls rushed into their room, looking around for something sharp. "only patients are allowed in medical." clarke whispered. "we have to rip out our stitches." she cringed.
arabella nodded, noticing clarke's hesitation, she placed her hand on the blonde's shoulder. "i'll go first."
clarke nodded, arabella ripped off her large bandaid, she drew in a deep breath, and held her arm under the sharp corner of the bunk bed, the girl pushed her arm into the metal, cursing as she felt it break her skin. now it was time for the worst part. arabella took some deep breaths and pulled her arm across the metal, ripping open her stitches and opening the wound again. "shit." arabella cursed, using her other hand to grip the metal frame, her knuckles turning white. she pulled her arm away, blood dripping onto the ground. "your turn, blondie." arabella gave clarke a small smile.
...
arabella and clarke took themselves to medical, hoping nobody would be suspicious that they both did the exact same thing, but they had a story behind that just in case, thankfully, nobody asked and they just sat in separate beds and got their arms fixed up again.
the doctor had just finished putting another band-aid over clarke's arm, the blonde's eyes were closed but arabella kept her eyes on clarke at all times. after the doctor walked away, arabella and clarke watched her leave the room.
the two girls slowly sat up, both of them looking at the guard from earlier, his radiation burns now pretty much gone. they walked over to him and clarke shook his shoulder. "langston." she whispered his name to see if he would wake up, but thankfully he didn't. clarke looked at him and moved his shirt down seeing tubes coming out of a small piece of metal from his chest. arabella looked at the tubes and followed them up near the ceiling.
clarke followed arabella's gaze at the tubes and walked to see another man, the same tubes coming from him all linking up at the same place. arabella followed closely behind clarke, they walked to a door that had a small window on it. clarke attempted to open the door but it wouldn't budge. arabella walked away to look around the room and saw a vent big enough to fit the girls inside.
