The darkness is still here, but I feel like I'm awake. I can hear things around me, but I feel like I'm trapped. I try and open my eyes, but they won't open.

"It's been three days, why the hell hasn't she woken up! What the fuck did you two do to her!"

"Oliver, you need to calm down right now. She's going to be fine."

"Alpha Oliver, Alpha Henry is right. All of her vitals are completely normal. Everything is fine. Her body is just resting, she'll take up when she is ready to. In the meantime, there is nothing that we can do. However, having her mates close should speed things up and may bring her around sooner."

Hmm I've never heard that voice before.

"Before Henry and I marked her, I spoke to her wolf. She explained that they would be unconscious for a couple of days. She didn't explain any further. She just said things will reveal themselves when they're supposed to."

"What the fuck does that mean?"

"I don't know. She wouldn't say anything else."

"Does Inez know?"

"No, she knows just as much as we do. Her wolf is keeping her in the dark too. We need to trust what her wolf said. We'll find out when the time is right, Oliver."

I can hear their conversation, along with the faint beeping of a heart monitor in the background. I can feel four people in the room. I know Henry, Theo and Oliver are here, and I assume the other presence is the pack doctor.

Suddenly, the blackness is replaced by a blinding white light. I try and move, but my body is frozen. A woman's face floods my mind. She's beautiful. She is wearing a white gown, with a golden leaf crown. My heartrate picks up, clearly alerting my mates and the doctor, but the noise fades into silence.

"Hello Inez. Oh you've grown so much." She says. Her voice is heavenly.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"My name is Selene, Dear." She says, smiling softly.

I gasp. "You're the Moon Goddess." I say in disbelief.

"Yes I am, but most importantly I am also your mother." She says, and I nod.

"Of course you are, you're the mother of all werewolves." I say, looking over at her.

She chuckles and shakes her head. "Oh Inez, Dear. You are my daughter. You have my blood running through your veins. Your birth parents, Alexander and Lynette found out that they were expecting another pup, except Lynette was carrying a boy. They prayed, and they prayed to have a daughter, so I stepped in and granted them their wish. Except, you are my child." She says, and I'm stunned. There were thousands of questions running through my head. "That is why your wolf is so different. I must warn you, since I have visited you, when you wake up, my mark will appear on the back of your neck. You need to keep this covered. Nobody except your mates can know. You cannot trust anyone else with this information. There is a lot that you have yet to learn, but I'm afraid right now is not the time. Just know, I'm always watching over you and I will do everything in my power to keep you safe. I'll make another visit when the time comes, but for now, our time is up. Goodbye, Inez." She says before I get the chance to say anything.

My vision goes back to black and I feel as if a weight has been lifted off of my body. I gasp and my eyes flutter open.

"She's awake." Theo says, breathing a sigh of relief. I look around briefly, and I see Theo and Henry sat on my bed, Oliver was stood at the foot of the bed with a man I've never seen before.

"Goddess, Sweetheart you scared us." Henry says. He's sitting on my bed. He moves a piece of hair from my face.

"I-" I try to speak, but my throat is dry, and it comes out as a croak. I look at Henry. "I need water." I say through mindlink and he nods. He leans over, picking up a cup with a straw in it. He puts it to my lips and I take a sip.
