The first rays of the morning light pierced through the closed curtains, hitting me right in the eyes. I let my eyes flutter open, adjusting to the light quickly. The warmth from Theo's embrace pressed closely to me, and it was nice to wake up with one of my mates still in the bed with me, rather than alone. As I come to, the memories from last night come flooding back and the looming cloud of dread comes straight back to hover over my head.

I shift slightly, trying not to wake Theo up, but Theo stirs almost immediately. Damn those Alpha insticts. He looked pretty adorable while he was sleeping.

"Who're you calling adorable?" He murmurs tiredly. My eyes widen. Shit.

"Did I just say that out loud?" I ask, panicking mostly out of embarrassment.

"No, you just haven't closed your mindlink." He chuckles softly, pulling me closer to him.

"Fuck that's embarrassing." I sigh, trying to wriggle out of his grip. He growls and tightens his hold on me.

"No, stay for a little bit longer." He murmurs, pressing a soft kiss on the top of my head. I cave, and snuggle into his arms a little more; enjoying the warmth and comfort he was bringing to Odette and I.

"Okay Teddy, only because you're comfortable." I tease.

Theo groans and I feel his head hit the pillow. I chuckle softly and bury my face in his chest. "You know, I'm going to remember this," he says, his voice muffled but laced with amusement. "You owe me for this one."

I chuckle softly and bury my face deeper into his chest. The rhythmic rise and fall of his breathing is calming, and I can feel the last remnants of my anxiety begin to fade away. For now, I let myself relax fully in Theo's embrace. Last nights concerns and memories seem like a distant echo, replaced by the comfort of his presence.

We lie there in silence, the only sound the occasional rustle of sheets and our combined breathing for a while. Theo's hand gently strokes my back, and I let out a contented sigh as the sparks from his touch vibrate through my skin. The intimacy of the moment feels like a balm to my soul.

"Promise me we'll talk more about this," Theo says softly, his voice almost a whisper. "When you're ready."

I nod against his chest, feeling a surge of gratitude. "I promise."

Theo's arms tighten around me in a reassuring embrace, and I can't help but smile. Despite the uncertainty of what's to come, for now, I'm content to stay here, enveloped in the safety and warmth that only Theo can provide. Well, and Henry and Oliver.

After a while, we both make a move to get out of bed. Theo gives me a soft kiss, before leaving the room to go and get ready in his own room, and I get started on my morning routine.

On the agenda today is my next date with Oliver, and judging by Theo and Henry's conversation last night, a talk about my nightmares.

I shower, and get dressed, just following my normal morning routine before heading downstairs to the kitchen. Before I get to the kitchen, I can already sense that the triplets are in there. Their scent hits me like a brick wall as soon as I round the corner.

I enter the kitchen, and my eyes land on all three of my mates. Henry had taken the role of chef this morning, standing over the range cooking some bacon, eggs and some sausages. Henry was perched at the counter, sipping at his coffee while he stared at his phone. He was clearly already going through his plans for the day, he glances up at me and I make my way over to him. He lifts his arm up, inviting me into a hug. I take the offer and wrap my arms around his waist, snuggling into his side. He pulls me in closer, placing a soft kiss on the top of my head.

"Morning, Sweetheart. Do you want a coffee?" He asks and I nod silently. I love that they're beginning to learn that I'm not really a functioning person before I've had a coffee.

Oliver chuckles softly, making his way over to us from his seat at the table. He got to work preparing a cup of coffee for me, before handing it to me. "Here you go, Love. Be careful, it's hot."

"Thank you," I say softly, before taking a sip. It was hot, like insanely hot, but I don't mind. Wolves have a high pain tolerance.

"I hope you're ready for today, Love." Oliver says, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

I look at him with a small smile. "What've you got planned?" I ask, taking another sip of my coffee.

"Actually, I've got a few things lined up for today, but the main event is a hike," Oliver says, glancing down at me with a hopeful smile. My eyes widen in surprise and excitement. Hiking is something I genuinely enjoy. There's something about being immersed in nature that soothes both Odette and me. The tranquillity of the outdoors has a calming effect that we both crave, and I can't help but feel a surge of anticipation at the thought of spending the day exploring the trails around the pack land.

"A hike sounds perfect." I say as a small smile tugs at my lips. The excitement stirring inside me in undeniable, and I can feel Odette stirring with approval. She loves the outdoors probably more than I do. You know... typical wolf things.

A soft smile works its way onto Oliver's face. "I thought you might like that," he says, his voice lowering just a bit. There's an underlying tenderness in the way he looks at me, as if he's relieved that something as simple as a hike could bring us a little closer.

For a moment, the tension that had been lingering between us feels a little lighter, the weight of the past fading into the background. Maybe this hike is exactly what we need—not just for the fresh air and the beauty of nature, but for the chance to connect and move past everything that's happened.

"Alright, once we've had breakfast we can get going. The sooner we start, the more time we'll have out there." He says with a grin.

I nod, excitement and anticipation bubbling in my chest. Today could be a turning point—a chance to move forward, to heal the rift that's appeared between us.
