Dinner passed and conversation flowed easily once I'd gotten over my nerves. We made our way back to the house quite late in the evening. The triplets parents are lovely and honestly nothing like they'd been portrayed to be down the pipeline. A sense of unease has settled itself in my stomach over whether this was going to happen to the triplets and I. Will the same thing happen to us? Will we be portrayed the same? I know a lot of people will be sceptical around the validity of our mate bonds, and I know people say things, but knowing whether or not it will affect our reign will remain to be seen. I know there's things coming for us, my mother has made that clear, I just hope that we come out on top on the other side of this.

Theo leads me through the front door and I pause in the entry way, giving Henry and Oliver a soft kiss and a goodnight before heading upstairs towards my room with Theo. Tonight was meant to be our night, but that was thwarted by having dinner with their parents. I feel bad, but it was necessary. I had to happen sooner or later, especially since Isabella had been threatening to come to the house just so she can meet me. I'm just glad that it's over now.

We get into my room and Theo wraps me in a tight hug. "You did really well tonight, Darling." He whispers, pressing a soft kiss to the top of my head. I take a deep breath, his scent quelling any adrenaline, or worries coursing through my body. "They absolutely loved you."

I hum tiredly into his chest, just enjoying the closeness between us. "Thank you Theo, that means a lot and thank you for being so comforting. I was really nervous."

"It's alright, Darling. We told you they were going to love you. You had absolutely nothing to worry about." He attempts to reassure me. He dips down, slotting his arm behind my knees, and the other around my waist and lifts me up. He carries me over to the bed and sets me down gently. "Let's get you changed for bed." He says, sitting down on the bed next to me. He pulls off my shoes, before standing up and heading into my closet. He comes out and I glance up at him and notice the smirk plastered on his face. "I've been wondering where these disappeared to." He says, holding up a black t-shirt and a green hoodie.

I smile sheepishly at him. "I don't know what you're talking about. You must've left them here..." I tease.

He chuckles and makes his way over to me. "Come on, arms up, hoodie thief." He says, setting the clothes on the bed next to me. He reaches for the hem of my sweater and pulls it up over my head once I put my arms up.

"I can't believe you'd accuse me of such an atrocity. I thought you loved me." I pout.

He chuckles and cups my cheek. "Of course, I love you. Even if you are a hoodie thief." He says, kissing me softly. I giggle and a blush creeps onto my face. "Come on, arms up again." He commands, gathering the shirt so I can put my arms through the holes. He pulls it on over my head and smirks. "Looks better on you anyway." He says, fiddling with the fastening on my pants. He tugs them off before tossing them and my sweater into the laundry hamper.

I pull the hoodie over my head and settle down in the sheets. Being surrounded by Theo's scent is comforting, but I'm itching to have him close to me again. I whine as I watch him strip his clothes, down to his underwear before crawling onto the bed next to me. I give him a warm smile, before leaning in to give him a sweet kiss. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me against him. The now familiar sparks emanating from his touch lulling me into a sense of security that I know isn't false.

I pull away from the kiss and rest my forehead against his. "I love you, Teddy." I say with a smile. He groaned at the new nickname.

"I love you too, Darling, but what the fuck was that? Never call me that again." He chuckles.

"You know that's just going to make me want to call you Teddy more, right?" He groans again, his eyes fluttering closed, eliciting a giggle from me. I press a kiss to his lips. "Goodnight, Teddy." I taunt, settling beside him. I drape my leg over his and rest my head on his shoulder, listening to his heartbeat. He holds me close against him.

"Goodnight, Inez." He whispers, kissing the top of my head. His heartbeat lulls me into a comfortable sleep.

It's dark. Really dark. I feel like I'm floating. I can't even feel myself. There's nothing. Nothing but vast emptiness.

"Hello!" I shout. Nothing. Not even an echo. What the fuck? Where am I?

"Hello? Is anyone there?" My words are met with silence.

It's eerie and unnaturally quiet until they start. The screams. Unrelenting screams of terror and fear. They start off in the distance, but I can hear them getting closer and closer. My head snaps around trying to locate the source of the screams, but I'm surrounded by them. Each one pulling at me like they're trying to encourage me to save them. I can't see anyone or anything. I can't see anything through the darkness.

The cries get louder as if they're coming towards me, but I can't move. I can't breathe. I feel like my senses are being deprived and overstimulated at the same time. It's too much.

"HELLO?" I scream, begging for someone to hear me, but the screams drown it out.

The blood curdling screams get louder and louder until they're almost next to me. I can hear the ringing in my ears as the blackness turns into a blinding white light.
