Chapter 22 - A Baby?

The rest of the afternoon with Theo flies by, and I find myself sitting at the dinner table with Henry and Theo. Henry cooked a lovely curry for us. I'm really surprised by their cooking skills. I would've guessed that they had everything done for them, but I was wrong. I couldn't help but admire them for it a little. A lot of Alpha's would  and do take advantage of their packs loyalty. It feels wrong not to have Oliver sitting here with us but the distance would allow Odette and I to clam down. I'm pretty certain in my feelings towards the situation, I'm annoyed at him and Ares for not fighting it harder, but if he was under some kind of spell (it's looking likely that he was) I can't truly blame him for it. It's going to take time for me to be able to trust him, but we can take it slowly. I know after I complete the bond with Theo that I'm going to get more powers and I'll need to take some time to adjust to it. I just want to move on with everything. I have a duty to this pack and to the kingdom.

"Our parents want us to go over for dinner on Friday evening, would you be happy to go, Darling?" Theo asks. The thought of meeting their parents scares me, but I know it'll have to happen at some point. 

I glance over at Theo, then Henry before nodding. "Yeah, I'd be happy to." I say with a soft smile.

They both smile and Henry presses a soft kiss to my temple. "Let us know if you change your mind, Sweetheart. They're going to love you." He says and rests his hand on my thigh. I reach down and rest mine on top of his. 

'I love you.' I say through our mindlink.

'I love you too, Sweetheart.' He says back. I can feel him send his emotions through our bond and it makes me weak at the knees. It's probably a good thing that I'm sat down. I don't think I've ever been as happy as I am right now.

We talk about our day, enjoying each other's company. We've come a long way since Oliver first brought me here. I know Odette and I are going to be happy here. Theo and Henry move to go and clear up the dishes and I stand up to help.

"We've got it Sweetheart, don't worry about it." Henry says and I give him a soft smile. I don't think I'm ever going to get used to that. 

"In that case, I'm going to go and give my family a call." I say and they both nod.

'When you're done, come up to my room.' I add through Theo and I's mindlink. He gives me a wink in response before I head up to my room. I collapse onto the bed and pull my phone off the nightstand. I scroll through my contacts before starting a facetime call with Anton. He's the one who's most likely to answer, everyone else is probably busy. It rings a couple of times before his face pops up onto my screen and I grin.

"Hello Twinny." He greets. "How's my little sister?"

"I'm very well thanks, Anton. I'm sorry I've not called sooner. It's been a really weird couple of weeks. I was out for a good couple of days after I was marked and I'm settling in. But everything's going great. "

"And how're they treating you?" He asks.

"They're treating me really good. Theo took me on a tour of the town this afternoon. It's absolutely stunning. It looks like something straight out of a fairy tale. I've also been marked." I grin, showing off my marks. "How's everyone doing?"

"Everyone's doing alright, except the house is about to get a lot busier." He says with a grin.

I raise my brow. "What do you mean?" I ask.

"Well..." He draws off. "You're going to be an auntie." He announces with a grin. He was beaming.

"Oh my goddess! Who is it? Who's pregnant?"

"My mate." He grins.

My eyes widen. "Fuck off! What? When did this happen?" 

"Well, the day you found your mate, I also found mine. Her name is Claudia, she's the most beautiful woman I've ever met in my life. I love her so much. We found out about the pup yesterday."
