Time Travel

In the beginning...

I'm lying on my back on Gaylord's bed trying to go to sleep. The room is full of shadows that dance across the walls making you think someone is there watching you. On my right side lays Jade who has succumbed to her exhaustion, her snores sounding like a cat meowing into my ear. Ivy is on Jade's left side and she sounds like a ferocious bear ready to rip apart the person who dares touch her and wake her from her sleep. Gaylord is to the left of me and surprisingly is sleeping soundly for once. I turn on my side hoping to get more comfortable, but Jade has her legs locked around mine and pulls them back making me shift onto my back again. Huffing softly I try to get situated without waking everyone. I fear if they woke up they will start the third world war or something even worse if that is even possible. I close my eyes and begin to shut down my mind, ignoring the nagging thoughts. I finally feel myself begin to lose consciousness and I drift off into the arms of sleep.

"Hey you guys wanna go to my kitchen and get some food?" Gaylord asked. Waking me up when saying the word food.

"YES FOOOD!" Jade and Ivy explained, tumbling off the bed and crawling towards the door.

"Okay, no you guys should really get off the floor" Gaylord said with irritation, stepping over them and walking into the living room.

I followed her, ignoring the chaos behind me. I walked into the kitchen that was flooded with sunlight, and sat on my favorite chair near the window with my back to the fridge. Gaylord got out some sausages and pancake mix and turned on the stove. Jade and Ivy soon join us, laughing loudly and taking their seats around the small table. Ivy sat in front of me while Jade tried to take the other chair that I happened to be using as a footstool.

"Give me the chair!" Jade shouted.

"No, I was here first!" I yelled back, wrapping my legs around the chair and used my toes to grip the chair legs. I pulled the chair closer to me, and Jade stumbled into Gaylord.

"Lorna give her the chair now! Jade stop being so loud" Gaylord huffed, looking pissed but a little amused but that might've just been me wanting her not to be mad at me.

I let go of the chair, and scowled at Jade. Ivy, I saw was laughing and nearly fell out of her seat and into Gaylord. I couldn't help but join in the laughter and Jade it seemed, couldn't help herself either. Gaylord gave us the plates of food. For a moment, there was silence but Jade decided to start a conversation.

"Guys, what would you do if I went back in time without you and saved Bon Scott from dying? And I ended up marrying him?" Jade asked.

I looks across the small table to see Ivy grinning and shaking with laughter.

"Really Jade, you're going to steal him away before I even get the chance to date him?" I asked, false anger in my tone. I was more upset that she would go without me.

"You'd be upset that I'd be saving him?" She asked, with an amused look on her face.

"No, but come now! At least give me a chance with him, and then you can take him away."

"Hey what about me and Gaylord!" Ivy explained, pointing towards Gaylord who was at the sink getting water.

"Of course you guys would be with us, but the point is Jade can't time travel so this isn't really an issue" I said calmly, not wanting an argument to start this early in the morning.

"But if she did?" Ivy asked.

"Well then I'd go after her if she ever married Bon, because the bitch left us while she had fun in the 80's I mean I could meet Angus!"

The kitchen filled with laughter, but I couldn't help but think what would happen if we ever did meet the band, what I would do if I actually got to meet Angus Young in the 80's?
