I fought with myself on deciding if I should let him undo the clasp, and my responsible side kicked in. With a gasp, I broke away from the kiss and leaned my head on Angus' shoulder, panting for breath.
"Angus, we can't." I managed to say, still gasping for breath.
His hands stopped right when they had just found the clasp. Angus pulled back and his hands moved out from under my sweater. My head was still resting on his shoulder but the rest of my upper body was no longer as close to Angus as it had been. Angus was panting too, and he struggled to respond.
"Why can't we?" Angus finally managed to ask, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me close once more.
"Because Gaylord is across the room and could wake up at any moment. Ivy is only in the bedroom and might just come in here at any second." I replied.
"I understand, but let's just say if Gaylord wasn't on that couch right now would you have stopped me?" Angus asked.
I let out a laugh, "Probably not." I replied, lifting my head from his shoulder and smiled at him. "Too bad you'll never get to know though." I continued, grinning at the disbelief on his face.
"B-but we could go someplace alone." Angus quickly said.
"Nope, moment is ruined and I'm sure they'll be other times." I said, amusement coloring my voice.
"We'll just see. So what do you wanna do?" Angus asked.
"I don't know." I replied.
Angus and I ended up falling asleep, and when I woke up it was dark out. Gaylord still hadn't woken up and I was worried.
"Angus, wake up!" I half shouted shaking his shoulder.
"What?" He asked, his voice slow and groggy with sleep.
"Gaylord hasn't woken up yet and I'm worried." I told him.
"Then get up and go check on her." Angus mumbled, closing his eyes again.
"I would, but it's cold." I replied.
"Just get up really quickly and run over there and make sure she's breathing then run back here and get under the blankets." Angus said.
I crawled over him, and tried to get out of the blankets swiftly but my foot got caught in the blanket and I fell off the couch, and onto the freezing cold floor.
"Are you okay?" Angus asked worriedly.
"I'm fine, I fall off of couches everyday just for fun." I replied sarcastically. I crawled over to the other couch, and saw Gaylord's chest moving up and down. "Gaylord's okay!" I whispered towards Angus.
"Good, now come back to me. It's really cold over here." Angus whispered back. I could see him clearly even though it was completely dark.
"No, I'm too cold to crawl back over there." I said, leaning onto Gaylord who was extremely warm.
I saw Angus shake his head. "If you'd come back over here, I'd warm you up." Angus said.
"Oh really, and how'd you plan to do that?" I asked him.
"I guess you'll have to come over here and see." Angus said suggestively.
Rolling my eyes, I crawled back over to him. Angus lifted up the blankets and I climbed in next to him.
"I'm still cold. I see you fail at keeping your word." I told him with a smirk on my face.
Angus didn't respond, he only pulled me closer to him. "Better?" He asked, looking at me with a smirk.
I couldn't deny that I was warmer, but whether that was because of how close I was to Angus or because Angus was warm I did not know. So I chose not to reply, and I snuggled closer to him.
"If I recall it was you who said you were cold without me." I finally spoke, after a few minutes of silence.
"True, but you also need me." Angus answered, his tone indicating more than what we were talking about.
"Keep thinking that Angus, I'm going to sleep now." I said, ending the conversation. I closed my eyes and allowed myself relax.
