I slight shaking of my body pulled me away from my dreamless sleep. "What?" I mumbled, rolling away from the thing that had caused my awakening.
"Gaylord and Ivy just left claiming that they were going to raid the kitchen for food." A voice that I knew belonged to Angus said.
"I fail to see the reasoning behind you waking me up." I replied, rolling back over to my side so I could properly glare at him.
Angus' hair was ruffled from sleep, covering his face slightly but I could still see the amusement in his eyes.
"I had no reason behind it." Angus replied, brushing his hair back with his hands.
"That's nice, but now I too want food." I said with a laugh, getting up and off of the bed.
Angus shook his head, causing his curly hair to cover his face once more.
I walked over to him, and his hands came to rest on my hips while I ran my hands through his hair, stopping when I got to his shoulders and letting them rest there. I smiled at him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before grabbing one of his hands that was on my hip and pulled him to the door. "Let's go get some breakfast and see if anyone's made tea or coffee yet." I said to him, opening the door and quickly walked to the kitchen.
Ivy and Gaylord were already there with plates of food in front of them. Malcolm was looking at them in amazement and back down at the empty pan in his hand. I let go of Angus' hand and went over to them, stealing a sausage from Gaylord's plate.
"HEY!" Gaylord exclaimed, glaring at me as I ate the sausage. "Get your own food!"
"I would but it seems like you guys took it all." I replied. Malcolm's slight nod confirmed the reason why he looked so shocked by the amount of food they had already consumed.
"Have you made any tea or coffee yet Mal?" Angus asked as he was getting a cup from the cupboard.
"I've got some coffee in the pot over there on the counter, there was more but Gaylord over here drank most of it." Malcolm replied.
"I did not!" Gaylord exclaimed, but her face gave away that she had indeed drank most of the coffee.
"Yes you did! I watched you do it so don't even try to lie!" Ivy shouted, although she was shaking with held in laughter.
I grabbed a coffee cup and walked over to Angus who poured me a cup of the steamy liquid. Angus motioned his hand towards the living room, and I nodded in agreement. We left behind the arguing Ivy and Gaylord, who still were shouting about the fact that Gaylord had drank half of the coffee. Malcolm was close behind us and sat in the chair close to the couch that Angus and I were sitting on.
"So you two seem to be closer." Malcolm observed.
Angus and I shared a glance before looking back at Malcolm. "How so?" Angus asked.
"Oh just the emotions I see between you guys. And the fact that Ivy wouldn't stop talking about it." Malcolm replied, smirking widely at Angus but giving me a wink.
"You're guesses are right, although Ivy's been saying that we've had a thing going on way before today or even yesterday." I said.
Malcolm let out a soft laugh and took a drink out of his cup.
"She sure is a one of a kind." Malcolm said, his eyes giving off the illusion that his mind had traveled off, and Angus and I didn't bother to snap him out of it. Angus and I drank our coffee in comfortable silence, the sound of bickering floating out from the kitchen.
"When do you plan on going in to work for the new album?" I asked after I had finished my cup of coffee.
"This week I think. Not today clearly but starting tomorrow we'll in there all day." Angus replied.
"It'll be weird not being around you." I said, putting my cup on the table in front of the couch and leaned back on the couch.
Angus too put his cup on the table and leaned back on the couch too.
"Yeah, but we'll have time during the tour and after." Angus replied, wrapping an arm around me and I leaned into his side comfortably.
That week, just as Angus had said, the band was busy working on the new album, and on a particular boring day I told Ivy and Gaylord about what I had overheard Malcolm and Angus talking about back in Holland a couple weeks ago, and what Angus and I had talked about the night before.
