My bass player fell asleep. Can you help us?

Later on that week Jade went missing for a few days. That wasn't unusual but was still a little odd since she wasn't answering her phone. We decided to ignore the absence knowing Jade would show up in the next few days. During a boring afternoon Gaylord, Ivy, and I were lounging around on the two couches messing with our phones, well in my case tablet. Gaylord and I were on Tumblr while Ivy was listening to music. Out of habit I searched up AC/DC to see if there was any updated news on them and my heart dropped when I saw what came up.

"You gotta be fucking kidding me!" I yelled.

"What happened? Are you okay?" Gaylord asked, sitting up from the couch.

"Get Ivy's attention she needs to hear this too." I replied, glaring at my tablet, thinking that if I glared hard enough the vile words would disappear.

Gaylord tapped Ivy's shoulder softly. She looked up and I motioned to her to take out the ear buds.

"What?" She said, looking curious.

"The bitch did it. She actually found a way to pull it off."

"Who!" They yelled.

"Jade! She timed traveled to the 80's I swear to god she did and I have proof here." I said angrily, motioning towards my tablet that showed the awful truth.

"Let me see" Ivy said, extending her armed and opening her hand for my tablet. I handed it to her, grimacing and wishing this was a dream.

"That bitch!!" Ivy shouted, looking very much like a demon.

Gaylord leaned over to see the screen more clearly.

"How could she do that though?" Gaylord asked, still analyzing the screen.

"She said her mom knew witchcraft. Maybe she learned from her." I suggested.

"Oh so she's a wizard now? Still doesn't change the fact that she selfishly didn't take us with her. See I told you guys this would happen" Ivy replied, now glaring at the screen with Gaylord.

"Well if she's a wizard she can see the twelve pienes'" I said laughing loudly.

"Omg Lorna no, shut up!" Ivy said, smiling at me.

"Okay in all seriousness Jade just messed up history, I mean Brian Johnson doesn't even show up now and all the albums from during that time are gone" I said, no humor in my voice.

"But how'd she do it?" Ivy questioned, returning the tablet to me.

"I don't know, I guess it doesn't really matter though cause it's not like we know where she lives..."

"True so what do we do now?"

"We should probably work on the songs now since we need to record an album soon." I said, looking at Ivy. "Well that is if our bass player doesn't fall asleep on the couch again"

"I told you guys I would probably sleep anyway! I'll record when we have to, don't worry" Ivy said.

A few hours later......

"Ivy wake up!" Gaylord yelled. Shaking Ivy as hard as she could.

Ivy didn't even twitch, she stayed curled up on the couch that was in the studio.

"I fucking knew it! She stayed up long enough just to get to the studio and passed out while we weren't paying attention dammit Gaylord you were supposed to keep watch while I got the equipment." I was beyond pissed but there wasn't much I could do and throwing a fit wasn't helping the situation any.

"I'm sorry, I was going to make some tea and she said she would stay awake..." Gaylord said.

"It's not your fault, but we need to get a bass player in here." I reply, glaring down at Ivy one more time before I crossed the room and opened the door.

"I'll be back Gaylord and hopefully with a bass player." I said before walking out the door.

I walked quickly down the sidewalk hoping to find a local bar somewhere. There had to be a bass player in there, and if there wasn't I was prepared to rip Ivy a new one. Looking up, the sky looked dark and stormy. It was really cold outside as well and I didn't even think to bring my jacket with me, but I was wearing my sweater so that was something. The wind blew my hair into my face with a sudden gust.

"Fuck, really?" I whispered angrily, trying to fix my hair but was failing miserably and while trying to move my hair out of my face I tripped on something on the sidewalk and I waited to fall to the ground, but something stopped me from meeting the cold, hard concrete. I looked up to see what had caught me, and saw a guy that looked to be in his early twenties. His hair was all over the place and his eyes were a deep blue.

"You alright?" The stranger asked me.

"Yeah, thanks for catching me, I'm sorry for that."

"It's alright, my name's Luke and you are?"

"I'm Lorna, hey you wouldn't know of any free bass players around here? I need one now since the one in my band decided to pass out on the couch."

"Well I'm pretty good at playing the bass" He replied.

"You wouldn't mind coming back with me then? I'll pay you if you want." I asked.

"Sure, and don't worry about paying me I've got plenty of money."

"Oh okay, well then I'll lead the way." I said, turning around and began walking towards the studio.

Once we approached the door, I turned towards Luke.

"Whatever you do, don't disturb Ivy she'll be the one sleeping on the couch." I told him. I didn't want Ivy to kill him. I unlocked the door and looked around the place.

"Gaylord, I found a bass player."

"Good, now we can actually get work done." Gaylord said loudly, walking out of the kitchen.

"This is Luke, apparently he can play bass really well." I told her while walking into the studio and into the little living room. Ivy was still on the couch sleeping away her hand enclosed on her phone. Gaylord led us to the recording room and we began working on the songs. We finished up sooner than I expected and I offered Luke a cup of tea, Gaylord offered to show him to the kitchen and I locked everything up in the room before putting away my beloved SG Gibson guitar. Walking to the living room I heard Ivy laughing and Luke talking.

"What's up?" I asked, sitting next to Gaylord on the couch across from Luke and Ivy.

"We were just talking about music and our favorite bass players." Ivy replied, looking at Luke.

I knew that look. Ivy had a thing for Luke and with the way Luke was looking at Ivy he had a thing for her too.

"That reminds me, how did you get to be so good at the bass?" I asked him.

"Oh, well growing up my dad taught me everything he knew. It could've helped that he was famous as well." He said.

"Who's your dad? I might've listened to some of his music." I asked, leaning forward slightly in my interest.

"Cliff Williams, he's in the band AC/DC" Luke answered.
