Ryan's POV

I peeked my head up over the couch and saw Taylor absolutely fuming.

What the hell did I just do?

In a brisk motion, Taylor stormed to the couch and threw (literally threw) Natalie off me. He grabbed me by the neck of my shirt and cold-cocked me right in the mouth.

I fell to the floor, hitting my head on the hard surface, feeling blood starting to form inside my mouth.

I tried opening my eyes, but I couldn't see straight. I was struggling for balance when Taylor picked me up by the collar of my shirt and slammed me against the wall.

I could hear Jordan yelling and Natalie crying, yelling at Taylor, but I couldn't make out any of it. I was that messed up.

"I will fucking kill you." Taylor growled, throwing my head into the wall. My knees were shaking, and I could feel myself losing consciousness. I saw Taylor pull back his right arm, ready to throw another punch, but Jordan grabbed him and pulled him off me, ushering him into the front hallway.

I put both my hands on the wall, trying to stay upright.

I knew if I fell, I'd be out cold.

I could feel a small amount of blood coming out of my mouth, seeing it drop onto the floor.

Jordan came back in, without Taylor, and rushed over to help me.

"Can you hear me?" I nodded, my head still spinning.

"Is it bad?" I asked.

"You're pretty messed up, you need to get to the hospital." I just nodded. I could still hear Natalie crying on the floor, saying something, but I still couldn't hear it clearly.

"Are you hurt?" Jordan turned to Natalie. She shook her head. "Then just go home." Jordan told her. She got to her feet and walked out of the room.

Jordan threw my arm over his shoulder and helped me to the car. He aided me into the passenger seat before taking off for the hospital.

"I need you to stay with me, don't fall asleep." Jordan ordered. I gripped the door handle hard to try and keep some blood going.

In quick time, Jordan pulled into the emergency room parking lot and helped me inside, where I was taken to a room quickly.

The last thing I remember was grabbing the bed for balance before everything turned black.

Ashley's POV

February 17th

I had spent two days crying over him in my friends' apartment.

I had been sulking on the couch, barely moving for the last forty-eight hours.

It was all surreal.

I remember every harsh detail of it.

Of him.

His look.

His dagger eyes.

His scowl.

His words.

Everything pierced into me deep.

I'll never forget it.

I had decided that I should try and forget about him, and go get a job somewhere.

I had an interview at some pet store later in the day, so I decided to change my appearance.

Rebuild myself.
