Ashley's POV
I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. It was nice to have someone cooking for a change. I think we were all sick of toast or cereal. I walked into the living room and peered into the kitchen to see Alyssa over the stove making eggs, and Mitch next to her making bacon and pancakes. I decided to try and get some revenge for Alyssa embarrassing me when she asked about Ryan. I poke my head out from behind the wall to observe.
"I missed this so much." Alyssa said, using her finger to indicate Mitch. She grabbed his shirt and pulled it off. "I missed this, too." She said, pointing at his chest. She grabbed him by the neck and kissed him on the lips. I decided to make an appearance.
"Am I interrupting anything?" I asked with a fake yawn. Alyssa quickly released Mitch and spun around facing me, her face beat red.
"YES!" She yelled. I laughed a little bit.
"Trust me, Ash, you're not." Mitch said. Alyssa gave him death glare, before Mitch gave her a small peck on the lips.
"I forgive you." She told him with a laugh as he put his shirt back on.
"So what is on the menu? It all smells really good." I asked.
"Just bacon and eggs and pancakes, nothing special. You should go wake Nicole up, she's probably hungry." Alyssa told me as I walked into the bedroom and woke Nicole.
"Ugh, but I want to sleep." She pleaded.
"There's breakfast. Pancakes, eggs and bacon." I told her.
"Fine." I knew that would get her out of bed. I walked back into the kitchen to join Mitch and Alyssa. After Nicole walked in, we made small talk for most of breakfast.
"What time is the game tonight, Ash?" Alyssa asked, finishing a piece of bacon.
"7:00, but we should get there at around 6:30." I said to her.
"I'm excited. I haven't been to a game in so long." Mitch said. We all hadn't. Nicole and Alyssa weren't the biggest hockey fans, but they still enjoyed going and watching. Mitch and I were big fans, and we hadn't been to a game in a while either. It was going to be odd seeing a game that wasn't at Joe Louis Arena, but exciting at the same time.
"So are you rooting for the Wings or Edmonton?" Nicole asked.
"Detroit obviously." I wasn't sure why that was asked, I knew they didn't know I was hanging out with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, they only knew I was hanging out with a guy named Ryan. After breakfast, I decided to text Ryan, and ask him where to go and everything. Before I could, he texted me first.
"Hey, Ash. If you can, be at the rink by 6:00. I have a surprise. Meet me by Gate 2. :)" I read. It could be anything.
"Ok, we will. Thanks so much, Ryan." I sent. I couldn't wait to see what Ryan had planned. I needed to let everyone know that we were going to be leaving earlier than expected.
"Hey guys, we need to be at the arena by 6. I'm meeting someone there." I told them. I shouldn't have even added tha last part, because as soon as Alyssa heard it, she smirked.
"You mean you're meeting Ryan there." She said.
"Yea, Alyssa. You got me. Just be ready to leave in an hour." I said firmly. They nodded as I walked into the bathroom to shower. I straightened my hair and put on yoga pants and a pink sweater. I waited for everyone else to get ready, and we were out the door by 5:30.
We pulled up to the arena at around 5:55. The Rexall Place was way different that Joe Louis Arena. We headed towards gate 2 and I texted Ryan.
"We're outside gate 2." I sent.
