"I have a document delivery here for Kim Y/N." he said professionally and I giggled a little because the corners of his mouth were twitching the whole time.
"You work at the post office?" I asked him curiously and he nodded.
"Yes, I have to pay for my studies somehow." he explained, then held out a receipt to me.
"You have to hand in your fingerprint as it's a confidential document... unfortunately my device is broken, so I have a stamp pad here... I'm sorry for the inconvenience," he said apologetically, but I waved him off, signed and put my fingerprint next to it. This kind of thing often happened, I was already used to it in the office.
"No problem, I can go and wash my hands," I told him and he smiled with relief as he pocketed the confirmation. His eyes lit up and I thought he was so incredibly cute again, why did I always feel the need to tousle his hair? This was only our second meeting, but he had such a magnetic appeal, I just liked him straight away.
"Thank you for understanding. I'm off again," he explained, but somehow that made me sad.
"Don't you want to come in and have dinner with us?" I asked him, but he shook his head.
"No, I've got something important to do that can't wait, but otherwise I'd love to..." he replied, waving again and turning around. As I closed the door, I thought I heard him cheer briefly, but I dismissed it as my imagination. Curious, I opened the envelope and there was no return address on it, which was strange. Inside was just a note saying Congratulations... strange, no name, nothing at all and my birthday was still months away. Was someone trying to play a trick on me? Maybe Jungkook? But why would he, he probably didn't know what was in the envelope himself. I washed my hands and then went over to Yoongi at the dining table.
"Who was it?" he asked me with interest.
"Do you remember Jungkook? He works part-time at the post office and brought me a delivery... but there was only this sheet inside..." I explained to Yoongi, who took the note from my hand and then frowned.
A joke, or an accident... I wouldn't think too much about it, let's eat now,' he said, shrugging his shoulders, and I agreed with him, threw the note away. After dinner, we sat down in the living room and drank wine together while we talked about the last few days and what our plans were for the next week.
"To come back to Jungkook... I think he's really nice, it was fun with him and his brother. What do you think of him?" he asked me unexpectedly at some point.
"I thought they were nice too, it was a nice evening. Jungkook is kind of cute." I said and Yoongi nodded.
"That's right, there's something special about him. He took my hand once when he was upset and I didn't even mind." he told me and I looked at him in shock.
"We should really do more with Jungkook and Taehyung if you can feel comfortable around him so quickly." I confirmed. I was really happy because usually it often took so long for Yoongi to make friends that most people got impatient or lost interest. He might not have been able to express it as well, but even though he liked being alone, he enjoyed the company of close friends, like Namjoon and Jimin and occasionally Jin, more than he let on.
"And... What if you go on a date with him? He's definitely interested in you." he now suggested and I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"That topic again? Yes, he's very attractive, definitely my type, but I'm not interested in dating anyone outside of my relationship. I'm happy as it is," I rebutted again.
"But I have the feeling that you're only content with what you have, even though you could be happier in other ways..."
