Y/N Pov
Tired, I opened the door and was greeted happily by Bam, while Mephisto looked at me in offense again, silently reproaching me for the fact that a dog he didn't want was still living here and cheekily stealing his cuddles.
"You see, if you greeted me so sweetly, I'd certainly pet you more often," I suggested to him, but he just turned around and ran away while I rubbed Bam's belly, which he presented to me lying expectantly on the floor. After hanging my coat and handbag on the coat rack and swapping my shoes for slippers, I flopped down on the couch and looked around. There was no Yoongi or Kookie to be seen, and it was already past dinner time as I had come home quite late. The kitchen was untouched, the dining table empty, no smells of delicious dinner hanging in the air, which frustrated me a little as my stomach was already growling.
Confused, I ran to the bathroom, checked to see if they were in there, then went to the guest room and the bedroom, but no luck there either. I furrowed my eyebrows thoughtfully, as the only place left was Yoongi's study, where he preferred to be alone and the company of others, even mine, was a rarely tolerated event. I knocked softly before opening the door slowly so as not to disturb Yoongi in case he had forgotten the time again and simply worked through it. But the PC was off, instead I saw Jungkook half lying on a chair he had placed next to Yoongi's, the other half lying on Yoongi's lap, who was smiling and stroking the sleeping Kookie's hair. No wonder Mephisto was offended with us, we stroked everyone but him.
But I couldn't deny that it warmed my heart to see the two of them cuddling so cutely. I quietly crept up to the two of them and hugged Yoongi from the side after signaling to him that I was there. I didn't want to scare him, so it was important to draw attention to myself, otherwise he would jump up and knock poor Jungkook to the floor, which looked funny in my mind, but I wanted to spare him anyway.
"Hey..." he whispered with a smile after I gave him a kiss.
"Is he okay?", I asked, looking at Jungkook and Yoongi nodded.
"The day was confusing for him, it must have made him tired," he explained, which is why I looked at him questioningly.
"What happened?" he wanted to know, but before Yoongi could answer, Jungkook sighed and hugged his waist tighter.
"I'll tell you later, let's let him sleep for a while," my love said caringly.
"OK... I'm too tired to cook now, I'll order us something to eat, the usual?" I asked him and he nodded.
Pulling my cell phone out of my pocket, I went to the kitchen where I poured myself some water and made the call, since I didn't know what Jungkook liked best, I just ordered several meat dishes that I liked so that he could pick one of them and I would eat the other. I really had to make a list of what he liked to eat, what he didn't like and what else he liked so that we could live together more harmoniously, which had worked quite well with Yoongi. Who could remember right from the start which textures he could tolerate, which he couldn't, which he absolutely loved, which cutlery he ate with or which smells he absolutely couldn't stand? With Jungkook it would be less drastic, but still, what had helped me with the one I would now try with the other. I had to smile briefly when I realized how much I had already involved Jungkook with us and planned a future. They had really softened me up...
