Luffy Love (Luffy x Reader)

Chapter 5

You exited the club with the straw-hats and began to shiver. It was cold and you were wearing nothing but lingerie. Something was placed on your shoulder, it was the blonde-haired man's coat. He wrapped his arm around you and brought you in close.

You look up at him and he gives you a genuine smile. Your heart skipped a beat, so many new sensations you haven't felt since you were a child. You let the warm feeling stay as they walked you to the ship. The entire time you watched Luffy, he walked with such purpose and no fear. 

Soon you arrived at the ship, Chopper and the black-haired woman sat on the railing eagerly awaiting your arrival. Once on board, they all sat down in a circle on the deck sitting you down between Chopper and Luffy.

Nami: "So you cost us a million berries, talk. Who are you and who is that pirate?"

You looked around cautiously. 

(Y/n): "Can we go inside?"

Nami nodded and they all stood and entered the kitchen. You all sat down as the blonde-haired man started making tea. Silence hung in the air, it was so hard to say anything. Part of you wanted to tell them everything but another part of you wanted to say nothing. Why would it matter? They will just end up leaving anyways, no one is going to magically show up and save you. This isn't a fairy tale, this is real life. Not everyone gets saved by a prince. 

Black-haired woman: "How about this, let us introduce ourselves first. It might seem a little scary to open up to people who you just met. I'm Robin, I was doing everything I could to find truths which made it so I had no one. That was until all of them, now I'm a pirate."

She smiled sweetly at you, you were very confused on what she was talking about but what she said did make you better just a bit. She then looked over to Nami who was sitting next to her. Nami was caught off guard but she adjusted herself before she started talking. 

Nami: "Okay well I'm Nami. I worked for a ruthless pirate who made me steal for him and then I was saved by those four and now I'm their navigator."

She said while pointing at Luffy, Zoro, the long-nose man, and the blonde-haired man. She then looked over to Brook who was sitting next to her.

Skeleton: "Hello I'm Brook, I'm a skeleton. I was a pirate a long time ago and now I'm a pirate in my after life as well. YOHOHOHO!"

Long-nose man: "Okay well I'm the legendary God Usopp, a savior and warrior."

The blonde-haired man elbowed him.

Usopp: "Uh well I had always wanted to be a pirate so Luffy let me join his crew and it has been...the best."

Your heart fluttered at his words. They all really had a lot of respect and love for one another, especially for their captain. 

Robot: "YOW! I'm SUUUPPPER FRANKY! These lot helped me find my love for ship building again. So I made the Thousand Sunny for my captain to travel the world on YOW!"

You giggled at his antics. Wow, I can still laugh. I had no idea I could feel that again.

Blonde-haired man: "I'm Sanji but you could call me your lover!"

Nami punches him at his comment.

Sanji: "Well I'm... a Vinsmoke and pretty much grew up without love but..."

He looked over to Luffy who was smiling very nonchalantly. 

Sanji: "These guys can help, we can help you."

Chopper: "I'm Chopper and I'm really worried about you! That guy is cruel and has done terrible things to you I know it! We can-"

Luffy put his hand up and shook his head. Chopper went quiet as Luffy looked over to Zoro. Silence filled as Zoro said nothing, Nami then wacked him on the head.

Zoro: "OW WHAT WAS THAT FOR!"

Nami: "Say something!"

Zoro: "I don't have anything to say. I joined the crew first, whatever Luffy says goes. If she doesn't want to talk she doesn't have to."

(Y/n): "My name is (Y/n)."

Luffy looked over at you with excitement.

(Y/n): "I don't work for that pirate, he owns me."

Robin: "Like... a slave."

All you can do is nod.

Usopp: "He bought you!"

(Y/n): "No, he destroyed my town, killed my mother and sister, and then took me with him."

Chopper: "Why don't you just leave?"

(Y/n): "He took me when I was six. I don't know any other life but this one. He makes me steal, screw, intimidate, and kill whenever he needs me too."

Franky: "But why, it's not like he is has anything over you does he?"

(Y/n): "From ages six to ten, I tired getting away any chance I could. And every time he found me. Marines, other pirates, and even just normal people all tried helping me and every time they were killed. It is safer for everyone who comes across him to just stay clear. You all should leave, take your ship and sail off somewhere else. It will be safer for you too."

Luffy: "(Y/n) is this the life you want?"

Luffy stood now with his hat covering his eyes.

(Y/n): "It's the life I have to live."

Luffy: "THAT DOESN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION! IS THIS THE LIFE YOU WANT TO LIVE?!"

You stay quiet, unsure what the answer to his question is.

What kind of life do I want? When I was a kid, I wanted to see the world. Now, all I want is to be free of this world. To have this nightmare end... All of them seem so sure this is where they are meant to be, where am I meant to be? Dead? With (EP/n)? Luffy has this glow, this warmth that is so inviting. I'm cold, even though Sanji's coat is giving me all the warmth I need. It feel like no matter what I do this cold will not leave me, my heart it hurts. Everything hurts, I hate this hurt. I want his warmth, his fearlessness, I want... to go on that adventure I had always dreamt of.

Your body starts to shake with sorrow as tears pour from your eyes. The knot in your throat is suffocating and the despair is overwhelming.

(Y/n): *sobbing "I-I wa-ant... I WANT TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE! I DON'T WANT TO FEEL ANYMORE OF THIS PLEASURELESS PLEASURE! I WANT TO EMBRACE... FREEDOM!

You stare at Luffy with tears rolling down your face. The rest of the crew pour their sympathies toward you with their gazes. Without warning, Luffy leans down to you and presses his forehead against yours cupping your cheek with his hand. A slight bit of heat touches your cheeks and you heart begins to quicken. Luffy keeps his eyes closed as you feel his warmth pour over you.

Luffy: "Okay then, let's go tell that guy your done."
