Luffy Love (Luffy x Reader)

Chapter 17

Straw-hat POV:

All the straw hats sat around in the infirmary waiting for you to wake up.

Sanji: "So tell me again, why was (Y/n) almost dead near the mini Mary?!"

Zoro: "Because she tried to kill Luffy."

Nami: "I SWEAR ZORO SAY THAT AGAIN!"

Sanji: "(Y/n) would never! Don't say stupid things!"

Usopp: "I mean... she did almost kill him, she was doing simple stuff on the rest of us but she actually... hurt... him..."

Usopp started trailing off as Nami glared at him.

Robin: "Look, it was most likely an accident. She always acted as though she was appreciative to Luffy, I don't think she wanted to hurt him."

Franky: "We don't really know that, look I like the girl but she was with an evil pirate for a long time maybe she picked some of that up, maybe this was all a ploy to take down someone as powerful as Luffy."

Chopper: "She would never she's nice!"

The whole crew argued, Zoro and Nami getting especially heated. Luffy sat next to you and watched you intently. The arguing was getting louder and louder. This wasn't something all that new, this crew trusted each other more than anything, they loved each other more than anything, but they also argued a lot. It was mostly over trivial things, but sometimes they were more intense and this crew takes trust and friendship very seriously. 

Luffy was finally getting irritated with the fighting. He stood quickly causing everyone to go silent. Zoro narrowed his eyes at Luffy.

Zoro: "You can't just forgive her, Luffy I know you want to believe she didn't do it on purpose bu-"

Luffy: "She didn't... Nami, I need to go to the next island."

Nami: "We're on the right course."

Luffy: "Leave."

Zoro: "Luffy we need to-"

Luffy: "I will handle it... Leave."

The whole crew was shook by Luffy's tone, he was different somehow but he was also Luffy when he was serious. They all understood and left. Luffy sat back down and waited by your side.

2 hours later...

(Y/n) POV:

Your eyes flutter open and you are met with the familiar ceiling of the infirmary. Your body hurt but you sat up anyways. Once you were up, sitting in a chair with their arms crossed in front of them and their iconic hat tipped in front of their face was the one and only, Luffy. You stared at him as fear filled your body, tears threatened your eyes.

What happened? Is Luffy okay? He's going to kick me off the ship, how could I have hurt him?!

Luffy: "Oh good you're awake."

His voice startled you, he tipped his hat up and gave you his iconic smile. Instead of making your heart flutter it filled you with pain. 

Luffy: "Are you feeling better?"

(Y/n): *teary  "L-luffy... I-I'm so sorry I-"

Luffy: "It's okay, I know."

His smile grew wider.

Luffy: "People's instinct is determined by the life they had to live, you were forced to use your power to hurt and when you are cornered it causes you to fight. I'm the one who's sorry, I shouldn't have surprised you like that. You are still getting used to everything, don't worry you're fine."

He stood and cupped your cheek with his hand. Tears had been falling down your face without you even knowing. He forgave me? How could he, I-I hurt him.

His eyes were kind and his smile was loving. He was soothing and warm, he was incredible.

(Y/n): *crying  "Luffy *hic  I-I'm s- *hic  sorry!"

Luffy laughed before sitting one the bed and wrapping you up in a big hug. Your hands rested on his chest and you nuzzled into the crook of his neck. Luffy rubbed your back and held you close. Then the door opened and Nami stood in the doorway. Nami became alighted to see you awake.

Nami: "(Y/n)! Is she okay?"

Luffy: "Yah, she's okay."

Nami: "O-okay, well I came to tell you that there is an island."

Luffy: "Good, get everyone ready to go... Oh and Nami, tell everyone I've decided she stays so drop it."

His last words were serious and stern. Nami nodded and left. Your heart was picking up pace as you stayed in his arms. He smelt like coconuts and raspberries with a hint of lemon, it surrounded you and made you feel great joy. He started petting your head and kind of playing with your hair that turned the pain in your heart back to the flutter. Then he stopped.

Luffy: "That goes for you too. Accidents happen and they trust you they just worry, you need to trust yourself too. Now, get ready because..."

Luffy let you go and bounced up.

Luffy: "ADVENTURE AWAITS!"

You wiped the remaining tears from your face and watched him. His excitement made you smile as Luffy ran out of the room. Pull it together (Y/n), Luffy is trusting you to get stronger and overcome your stupid past. Don't do that again and prove to the others you will never hurt them again.

You slap your cheeks and get out of the bed. You leave the room and find no one but see that the ship is docked very close to the shore of an island. You go to the girls' room and get dressed in (you decide adventure gear). You come exit and make your way onto land where Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper are running around while the others stand around. When you reach everyone, those standing around turn and look at you and the other three stop running and look at you.

Sanji: *flirtatious (you know Sanji's tone when he talks to women)  "My sweet (Y/n)!~ Are you feeling better?~"

(Y/n): "Um yes... I'm... I'M SORRY! I never meant to hurt Luffy or any of you, I will never do it again I promise!"

Tears threatened your eyes as you bowed to the crew. There was silence but then Zoro spoke up.

Zoro: *sigh  "We know."

Robin: "It can be hard to leave your past behind."

Brook: "You are one of us and we all make mistakes."

Nami engulfs you in a hug.

Nami: "We're just glad you and Luffy are okay."

She leans back but keeps her arms wrapped around your neck.

Nami: "And don't worry, you aren't the only one to hurt Luffy. I did, oh, and ask Usopp and Sanji what they did.~"

Nami smirked at the last part. You looked over to the two and saw Usopp rubbing the back of his head awkwardly while Sanji looked away with a regretful expression.

Luffy: *laughs  "OKAY! LET'S GO!"
