Luffy Love (Luffy x Reader)

Chapter 21

Midday...

You had all made it back to the ship and set off to where the log pose pointed next. You laid on the grass starring up at the sky as clouds passed. Luffy, Usopp, Chopper, and Brook were fishing. Robin and Nami were inside the aquarium room, Zoro was in the crow's nest, Franky was below deck, and Sanji was in the kitchen. There was a lovely breeze that felt so refreshing. 

This is wonderful. I feel so free and comfortable. I think I want to do more "stuff" with Luffy. Luffy is all I've been thinking about since this morning. When you watch Luffy he seems so kidish and immature, but he clearly knows more and is more mature then we give him credit for. I wonder where he learned that kind of stuff from.

Your thoughts about Luffy trailed off and instead ideas hit you. You jumped up and ran to the girls' room. The fishing boys watched you quizzically as their heads followed you all the way and all the way back to the lawn. With you is what looked like 4 pebbles, a cup, and some red string. You took one pebble and placed the cup over it. You took the red string and wrapped it around the cup, leaned down and whispered something to it, and then lifted the cup to revealed what looked like a shiny emerald.

The boys eyes shone with excitement as they quickly dropped their fishing lines and joined you on the grass. They sat around you with Luffy sitting on your right very close. Their sudden joinment startled you.

Chopper: "What did you do (Y/n)?! Are you a wizard?!"

Chopper beamed at you excitedly. 

(Y/n): *giggles  "No I'm not. It's a game my mom invented when I was little. I don't know how it works but one day she went outside picked up four pebbles from our garden, grabbed a cup and red string. She sat me and my little sister down and said 'four lovely pebbles are nothing more than pebbles but when you hide them

 away from the world, give them a tight hug, and then whisper a secret to them, -- they become something more.'"

While repeating your mother's words, you repeated the cup magic trick this time revealing a ruby. The 4 boys awed in elation. You giggled as they got very excited about the trick.

Brook: "I'm so stunned how could some simple pebbles become something so incredible?!"

(Y/n): "They can go back too."

You placed the emerald and ruby back under the cup and tied the string around it again, then leaned down and whispered to the cup. This time when you lifted the cup, the two gems had turned back into normal pebbles. Once again, the boys loved it.

(Y/n): "These are the same pebbles, cup, and string my mom used when she showed me the first time. I don't know how it works but for some reason it always made me feel better and always makes me happy."

Luffy: "Can I try?!"

(Y/n): *giggles  "Sure. So first pick a pebble."

Luffy grabbed a pebble.

(Y/n): "Then hide it from the world."

Luffy picked up the cup and placed it over the pebble.

(Y/n): "Give it a tight hug."

Luffy grabbed the string and tied it around the cup.

(Y/n): "Okay, now whisper it a secret."

He paused and thought for a second before leaning down to the cup and whispering something to it that none of you could hear.

(Y/n): "Now show it what it has become."

He lifted the cup to reveal a beautiful garnet. His eyes gleamed with amazement and the other three awed in more excitement. You giggled as they become so riled up over the simple trick.

Usopp: "I want to try!"

Chopper: "Yeah me too!"

Brook: "I wonder what amazing things we could create!"

One at a time you showed the others how to do it. For hours they played with it and never lost their joy. You watched them and laughed with them at all the things they turned the pebbles into. 

Eventually night had set and you didn't even notice. Sanji came out of the kitchen and called for everyone to come for dinner. Usopp jumped up and raced to the kitchen with the others following him. You and Luffy still sat there as he stared at the pebbles intently. 

(Y/n): "Um Luffy, dinner is ready. Did you want to go eat?"

Luffy: *sigh  "Yeah, I just wish I knew how this worked. It's sooo coool! I want to know it's secrets!"

(Y/n): *giggles  "Well you can after we eat."

Luffy stood up and smiled at you as you smiled back. He then headed toward the kitchen. You turned the pebbles back and took the stuff back to the room. You then joined them for dinner. 

You watched them all eat lovingly.

They all are amazing. They are just good people, they don't care about the rules or laws of the world as long as they are free and have each other, they are happy. They always do the right thing even when others wouldn't. I love this new life, it's everything I could have ever asked for and more.

Nami: "So who wants to stand guard tonight."

Zoro: "Please not me I've done it for the past four nights."

Usopp: "There is no way I'm doing it, what if a scary sea king comes out of the ocean?!"

(Y/n): "I'll do it. Sounds fun, I promise I won't let anything happen to the Sunny."

Franky: "You'll do great!"

Chopper: "Yeah your first time keeping watch, you promise you won't get too lonely or scared?"

(Y/n): "Well I..."

Luffy: "I'll do it with her."

The whole crew looked at Luffy quizzically.

Sanji: "You have never done it, what, all of a sudden you are? It's because of (Y/n) isn't it! You're trying to take her for yourself, NOT GONNA HAPPEN! ~I'll stay up with you my love!~"

(Y/n): *giggles  "It's because I promised Luffy he could try and figure out how my pebbles work."

Nami: "Pebbles?"

Chopper: "It was this cool magic trick (Y/n) taught us. Luffy was getting mad because he wanted to know how they worked but couldn't."

Nami: "Well alright, we'll leave the watch up to (Y/n) and Luffy."

Hey so its been awhile, I went on vacation and had work, all sorts of nonsense. Anyways, I went back and made edits and fixed some mistakes so we are good there. I'm gonna writ one more chapter tonight and then probable call it there. I sort of have writers block for where this story is heading I'm not sure where to take this. I feel like there should be one more dramatic event that really solidifies Luffy and our main character but I don't I'm struggling. Anyways hope you are enjoying it and I would love to know what y'all named the main character and her sister and the pirates in this, so please leave a comment with all your names I'm super interested.
