Luffy Love (Luffy x Reader)

Chapter 13

1 week later...

It has been one week officially at sea with the one and only straw hat pirates. The great open sea was everything you had ever hoped it would be, somehow on this ship the water was bluer and the wind was fresher. Everything made you smile, from the sea gulls above to the lady bugs that found themselves on the beautiful lawn deck. Sunny, their ship, was something you started falling in love with too. Franky created a masterpiece, the wood was soft but sturdy, she sailed so smoothly, and she was fitted with wonderful rooms and neat accessories like the shark submerge. Joy was slowly filling your heart again.

The ship and the adventure ahead was thrilling and beautiful, but that wasn't the only thing you were getting used to. You started learning all about the crew you were now apart of. 

Zoro was well quiet. He mostly napped or trained but one thing about him made your heart soar. He was incredibly loyal, he had so much respect and love for his fellow members and especially for his captain. The type of loyalty he displayed was subtle but something you wish you had in the last 13 years. You also found out how much he disliked Sanji when you found yourself tangled in the middle of one of their fights in the kitchen. It took Nami giving them two a whack to free you. Even though they didn't get along, Zoro still respected Sanji and still maintained his loyalty.

Nami has been the sister you never had. She was sweet, caring, funny, and incredibly helpful. It has been hard adjusting to this new life and if it weren't for Nami you probably would have been overwhelmed and maybe sliced up *ahem the fight. As wonderful as she was to you, Robin, and Chopper, she was not as wonderful to the others. In reality, Nami terrified you. She was constantly beating up the boys for their "idiotic and ridiculous antics," as she called them. Even though Zoro, Luffy, and Sanji were stronger than her, they were no match for her.

Usopp has been teaching you all sorts of things. He is a genius with all sorts of knowledge. He taught you how to make a rubber band gun out of chopsticks, paper, and a shoelace, it hit Luffy so hard he almost fell off the ship! He told you all about their journeys together with Luffy and Chopper. A land of sand, a sky island, a train that runs on the ocean, a haunted ship the size of an island, a place of bubbles, a whole city under the sea, a kingdom with living toys, and Luffy talked about a group of islands made of food. Usopp told many stories, some so outrageous it sounded too good to be true. He may be a fibber but he was sincere and kind.

Sanji is as sweet as sugar. It might be the fact you're a woman but still he is incredibly kind. He made delicious food and always made sure none was wasted. Some would say his cooking was his best quality but to you it was how nice he was to everyone. Franky had come into the kitchen one day and seemed stressed, Sanji became so worried about him he tried doing anything he could to make Franky feel better. Sanji, despite his womanizer ways, was helpful and caring to everyone.

Chopper is the most adorable thing you have ever seen. He is just the cutest little guy and he is always making sure everyone is healthy. He is an incredible doctor with so much knowledge about medicine. He spends so much time with Luffy and Usopp you could watch the three of them play for hours. You love holding Chopper and you clearly aren't the only one, Robin and even Zoro love holding the little guy. It was funny but sad to hear about his bounty. Why does everyone think he is their pet? Oh, and he hates it when people think he is a racoon or a racoon dog, he is clearly a reindeer.

Robin is how do you put this, weird but sweet. She says a lot of odd and scary things but she is very nice and knowledgeable. She has an amazing dream about discovering the history of the world and it is so cool she can read a language no one else can. She, like you, loves watching the boys play and is always so calm even when there is chaos. She's been helping you recover from all the trauma. She gives off a very calming aura so it has been making the transfer to the crew a lot smoother.

Franky is loud and really cool. I know everyone says robots are for boys but you can't help but love them too. All his gadgets are so awesome and he has created amazing stuff for the Sunny. You are pretty sure he is tired of hearing you tell him how amazing the Sunny is, but you just can't help it. The ship feels warm and not like a means of travel but a home and a friend. You watch him tinker all the time and just watch with all the excitement of a child. 

Brook is wonderful, his music fills your soul. Your first 2 days on the ship were hard. You had so many nightmares that you became very distant very quickly. Brook's music helped you so much, one night he sang you a lullaby and you didn't have a single nightmare. He makes so many dead and skull jokes, it seems though only you and Luffy laugh. He asks to see your panties a lot but Brook is wise and considerate when it comes to your past and being apart of this new crew.

And finally Luffy. He is the sun itself, he is warm and funny and very cute. Everything he does brings the biggest smile to your face and his smile makes butterflies swarm in your stomach. He is amazing and even though a little dumb at times, the crew loves him. You could listen to his laugh for hours and watch his antics for days. Luffy represented everything your mom said pirates were. You found yourself staring at Luffy fish for hours, his black silky hair blew gorgeously in the ocean breeze, his smile and eyes illuminated his face, he surprisingly smelled like oranges and vanilla, and his hands were actually quite soft. Your love for Luffy grew with every day... 

LOVE! I-I mean like admiration as m-my captain! He is a WONDERFUL captain!

Nami: "(Y/n)? Are you okay?"

Your thoughts were cut off by Nami and the rest of the crew staring at you as you all sat around the dinning table in the kitchen. Your cheeks felt flush and you realized you got so caught up in thinking about everyone you were blushing.

(Y/n): "Y-yes... sorry I was just thinking."

Zoro: "Are you sure, your cheeks are super red."

Usopp: "Yeah are ya feeling sick?"

Your face began to heat up again and you covered your cheeks and shook your head.

(Y/n): *flustered "Y-yes, I'm fine, it's nothing!"

When you opened your eyes, Luffy's face was inches from yours' as he quizzically stared at you. This made your heart beat like a drum, your cheeks get hotter, and the butterflies to swarm faster.

Luffy: "Are you suuurrreee your not sick?"

You quickly stood up and backed away from Luffy fast.

(Y/n): *flsutered "YES I'M FINE! AnywaysthanksforthemealSanjiI'mgoingtogetsomeairokaybye!"

With that you rushed out of the room.

Straw hat POV:

Luffy: "What did she say?"

Franky: "I have no idea, but she seemed fine."

Robin: *giggles "Yes, she's fine."
