"What the-" that is what Kyle said when he laid his eyes upon the huge charity stand Cartman had made, right in the middle of the town square.
Kyle walked up to it, confused as all hell, he looked over at Stan who seemed just as confused.
"Cartman, what is this?" Kyle asks.
Cartman, sitting in his comfy chair, leaning back, feet up, "I'm raising money for the poor, Kyle. What do you think?"
Kyle is silent, "Why?"
"Cause that's the good thing to do, Kyle. Do I need a reason?" Cartman replied.
"Well, no but....you rarely do anything without a reason....it had to benefit you." Kyle explained.
"I'm changing, Kyle, I'm trying to be different. So I know this is odd but you have to trust me."
Kyle blinks, "Uh huh...." he was unsure if he should trust Cartman or not.
Stan whispered to Kyle, "This feels like a setup. I don't trust it."
Kyle nodded in agreement but decided to play along. "Okay, Cartman, we'll trust you. But how can we be sure you're not up to something?"
Cartman grinned, "Trust is earned, my friends. And today, I'm earning it through generosity. Just watch as the funds pour in for a good cause."
As the day progressed, people began contributing to Cartman's charity stand. Surprisingly, the donations were substantial.
Kyle watched from a distance, curious and confused. Stan tapped on his shoulder to get his attention, "We should watch him. If he's actually changing, then he'll actually donate the money."
Kyle nods in agreement, "Yeah...that sounds good. How long do you think he'll be here for?"
"Don't know. But it seemed his money bowl is getting fuller by the second. If he doesn't have another, he'll have to stop soon." Stan says.
And he was right, after a few more minutes, Cartman starts packing up and was on the move.
Kyle and Stan followed behind, trying to stay hidden.
They followed Cartman through the town, winding through streets and alleys until he reached the outskirts. Cartman, seemingly oblivious to the two following them, finally stopped near a local shelter for the homeless.
To Kyle and Stan's surprise, Cartman entered the shelter and handed over the donations. The shelter staff, equally shocked, thanked him for his unexpected generosity.
As they observed from a distance, Kyle whispered, "Didn't see that coming."
"Holy shit dude. Is he...actually changing?" Stan asks.
"No...no way right?" Kyle replies, "The dude's clinically a psychopath. He can't just change like that. The place must be rigged or something."
"I don't know dude....let's follow him home." Stan says.
They watch as Cartman leaves, the empty bowl in hand. He walks home, Kyle and Stan trailing behind him.
Nothing seemed off, just a kid walking home, when a cat ran up to him.
Cartman, with surprising gentleness, bent down to pet the cat. Kyle and Stan exchanged confused glances, wondering if this was part of another scheme or if Cartman was truly undergoing a transformation.
The cat seemed to respond positively to Cartman, rubbing against his leg as he continued on his way home. As they approached Cartman's house, he opened the door, and both him and the cat walked in.
"I never thought I'd see the day," Kyle muttered to Stan.
"Me neither. This is beyond bizarre," Stan replied, "What do we do now?"
Kyle shrugs, "I...don't know...."
