"Ok, just go up and do what I told you," Kenny says as he sends Cartman up to where Kyle was.
Cartman takes a deep breath, "Hey, Kyle."
Kyle turns to Cartman, "What do you want, fatass?"
"I um....I wanted to say you looked nice today," he says.
Kyle raises an eyebrow, "Ok, what are you doing?"
"Nothing! Just...complimenting you," Cartman says back.
"You never do that. That's weird."
Cartman shifts uncomfortably, avoiding eye contact. He decided to use his own logic against him, "Well, maybe I've changed, you know? People can change, Kyle."
Kyle remains skeptical, "Sure they can, but you're a different case, what's your real motive, Cartman? I'm not buying this sudden niceness."
"Oh my god, Jew! Just accept the compliment!" Cartman yells as he walks off.
Kenny hits and shakes his head while muttering to himself, "Well, that went about as well as expected."
Cartman sat next to Kenny, frustrated, "That was shit, Kenny!"
Kenny sighs, "Well, I probably should have realized Kyle would be suspicious."
Later that day, Cartman approached Kenny with a determined look on his face. "Okay, new plan, Kenny. I'm not giving up that easily."
Kenny chuckled, "What's your brilliant idea this time?"
"I'm going to show Kyle that I'm genuinely changing. Actions speak louder than words, right?" Cartman explained with a sly grin.
Kenny shrugged, "Sure, but you better not mess this up again."
Cartman went to a corner of the hallway and waited for Kyle to walk by. When he finally did, he immediately tripped.
Kyle landed on his face, and a bunch of 'ohhhs' could be heard by others.
Cartman acted surprised but also concerned as he walked over and bent to his level, "You ok, Kyle?" he asked as he reached out an arm.
Kyle looked up and raised an eyebrow, "Cartman? What are you doing?"
Cartman maintained a concerned expression, extending a hand towards Kyle. "I saw you fall, dude. Just trying to help you out."
Kyle hesitated but eventually accepted Cartman's hand, standing up with a grunt. "Thanks, I guess."
"Of course, Kyle, be careful next time. Don't want you hurt." And like that, Cartman walks off, but to Kenny, who was standing there surprised.
"Huh...that wasn't bad, Cartman. Good job, but how did you know he was going to trip?" Kenny asked.
Cartman smiled, "Lucky guess?" In reality, Cartman had mopped the floor there earlier, just so it would be wet enough for Kyle to trip. And the only ones who would know would be the ones watching the cameras, if there even was anyone watching the cameras.
"Tomorrow though... oh tomorrow I'm going to do something big!" Cartman said, an evil grin on his face.
"Cartman...." Kenny said, "What are you planning?"
"Oh nothing, just something to really hammer into his head I'm changed," Cartman replied.
Cartman wasn't lying; he was going to do something big, something huge, something like run a charity... for the poor....
At least Kenny will get something out of this.
