"Soooo..." Cartman started, "You got any...secrets?"

Kyle looks at him, "Um...not really...I think."

Cartman frowns, "Oh come on, we're dating, we can trust me."

Kyle looks down, "I know but...I'm still nervous."

"What can I do to make you trust me? I'll do anything, even propose!" Cartman says. God, this sounded romantic, Cartman hated that, he just wanted this to be over with.

Kyle's eyes widened in surprise, "Propose? Seriously?"

Cartman shifted uncomfortably, regretting, "Uh, yeah, forget I said that. I mean, I just want you to feel comfortable opening up to me, you know?"

Kyle nods, "Well um....I guess...if you really want to gain my trust then..." Kyle closes his eyes, nervous to say it.

"Then what?" Cartman pressed, desperate to get it out of Kyle.

Kyle took a deep breath before continuing, "Then... maybe you could share something personal with me first. Something you've never told anyone before."

Cartman's eyes widened, 'Shit.' he thought. He didn't want to tell Kyle anything like that, then he could use it against him in the future.

He thought about it, then he got an idea, he would make up something that...could be a valid secret, but at the same time, very tame and boring, something everyone would be like, 'Yeah, makes sense for him.' and move on.

Cartman clears his throat, ready to pretend it was something he was nervous about, "Ok...well....um...I guess one thing I've never really talked about is... my fear of spiders."

Kyle raised an eyebrow, clearly not expecting that response. "Spiders? Really?"

"Yeah," Cartman continued, trying to sound convincing, "ever since I was a kid, I've always been terrified of them. Even the tiniest ones send shivers down my spine. I remember once I was on the toilet when I saw one. I ran out of the bathroom for my mom."

Kyle chuckled softly, finding it funny as he pictured it in his head, but not wanting to press further. "Well, I guess that's understandable. Spiders can be pretty creepy."

Cartman breathed a silent sigh of relief, glad that his fake secret seemed to have done the trick.

"Yeah," Cartman said, "they're the worst. Anyway, enough about my irrational fear. Is there anything else you want to know about me?"

"No," Kyle says, "I guess now it's only fair that I tell you something about me."

Cartman leans in, ready to hear it, but tries to stay calm, "Ok, take your time."

Kyle took a moment to gather his thoughts, feeling a newfound sense of trust and understanding between them. "Well," he began, "one thing I've never really told anyone is... I used to struggle a lot with self-confidence."

"Really?" Cartman asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, it was bad....it was to the point where I....puked in the bathroom to....make myself-" Kyle was cut off by Cartman.

"Ok, that's okay...you don't have to continue..."

"Thank you."

'Jesus Christ,' Cartman thought, 'I was expecting something more like, I killed a man one time, not forcing myself to puke.' Cartman shivers.

'That definitely will not work for me, the most that will do is get people to feel pity for him.' Cartman thinks.

'I'll need to find stuff out on my own, that, or make something up. Like I did for 9/11, only this time, he won't suspect me.' Cartman laughs in his head.
