Hello all this is book three in the Letters Of Change series, You don't have to read the other two to understand this one, although you get to know more about Lindy's family if you do (The first book is about Lindy's Aunt and Uncle December and Daniel, the second is about her parents George and Scarlett) This chapter is Dedicated too @stuffhappens (Aivy) because her namesake character is in this chapter!!! =]

Chapter One

1896

Levi Jasper smiled as he noticed they were getting close to Hope Blossoms which also meant they were getting close to Lindy Wade, The only girl he had ever loved. And the girl he hadn't seen in over three years.

"I wonder if she still looks the same." Levi said to his best friend from law school Nathan Adams, whom he had talked into moving to the small town in Wyoming to start their own law practice.

"I'm sure she does" Nathan said nonchalantly as put down the paper he had been reading. He was probably tired of hearing about Lindy, but he never complained.

"Do you think she'll be happy to see me?" Levi asked.

"Well you haven't seen her in a long time, so I would think she'll be happy to see you."

"I hope so. I know it must get old too hear me go on about her."

"I don't mind, but do I have to eat dinner with them? I mean so many people, I'd much rather not."

"Nate" Levi said with a laugh "Are you scared of people?"

"Not people, just large quantities of them."

"You'll have to get over that, being a lawyer-"

"It's different in a court room; no one invites you to dinner."

Levi laughed at his friend. He knew Nathan felt uneasy around families, his own family included. From what Levi heard, Nathan's family were never around and his mother had died when he was ten and his father was always traveling leaving him home with his governess and butler.

"They're very nice. After dinner I'll make an excuse so we can leave early."

"Alright" Nathan said shaking his head slightly "What are their names again?"

"Lindy's mother is Scarlett but you'll want to call her Mrs. Wade and her father is George and you'll want to call him Mr. Wade. Lindy's the oldest and then there is her little sisters Julie and Ginny who are both fifteen years old they are ten months apart. Her little brother who's the oldest boy is JD he's twelve, and then there is Nick who's ten and Aaron he's eight, Maggie the youngest she's three."

"She has a very large family." Nathan said shaking his head

"Lindy's Aunt and Uncle have an even larger family" Levi laughed at the expression that came across Nathan's face "But they live in Colorado so you won't have to meet them." He added, laughing at Nathan's sigh of relief.

"Next stop Hope Blossoms!" The conductor bolding called out. Levi smiled knowing in only a matter of minutes he'd get too see Lindy.

Lindy leaned forward ever so slightly as the smoke from the train could be seen from a distance. Her heart raced as she knew Levi, her childhood best friend was on that train. She hadn't seen him in three and a half years since his parents died; he hadn't come home even for Christmas. She smiled brightly at her younger sisters Julie and Ginny.
