Chapter Seventeen- Epilogue- Part Two
~~ ~~
Lindy watched as her mother and Aunt December as they embraced, the two had been best friends for years, keeping in touch threw letters when they weren't visiting one another. She often thought they exchanged more letters then her father and his brother did, but as a wife she knew they told their husbands everything.
She hugged her aunt and uncle as she made her way into the house.
"Abbie is upstairs with most of her sisters and Ariel is in the kitchen preparing the cake for tomorrows wedding..." December informed them "All the boys are in the barn preparing their wedding gift for Abbie and Michael."
"I'm going out to the barn!" Lindy's little brother Joseph said with his now low voice, he'd grown up so much she realized as he had turned fourteen only three months prior. She laughed as Nicholas and Aaron followed him.
"Would anyone like tea or coffee?" December asked leading everyone into the parlor. Lindy offered to help, mostly so she could see Ariel. She needed to get her alone so she could give her the advertisement.
"Arrie!" Lindy said happily as she quickly moved to hug her cousin "How are you doing?"
"I'm wonderful, thank you for asking... it's great to see you!" she said as she hugged her back before turning her attention back to whisking ingredients in a large bowl.
Lindy looked to her Aunt who simply shrugged.
"Ariel, do you need any help?" She asked.
"No it's alright I've got it... I'm sure you're tired from the journey." Ariel said lifting her dark blue eyes to meet Lindy's light ones.
"Perhaps tomorrow then?" she asked only to receive a small nod from Ariel. The smell was making her stomach turn just as anything else cooking did "Ariel... I'd like to talk to you alone before I leave alright?"
"Of course" Ariel said "How about tomorrow?"
Lindy nodded before leaving the room she went back into the parlor and drank some lemon tea to help sooth her stomach.

The next day passed by quickly, everyone was beyond busy trying to pull off the large wedding Abbie had planned, Even Lindy pitched in putting flowers everywhere. She was happy when the wedding was already underway. Abbie had Ariel, Laura, Jennie, Rhiannon and Michael's sister Phoebe as her bridesmaids and Michael had the same amount of groomsmen.
Lindy took her seat next to Levi and her family as the wedding begun. Michael- the bridegroom- was handsome enough, his hair was a sandy blonde and his eyes seemed to be green from what Lindy could tell. She just hoped he would treat Abbie well. She took Levi's hand as she listened to them saying their vows to one another.
"I Abilene Phoebe December Wade take you Michael John Montgomery to be my husband..."
Lindy couldn't help but cry weddings always made her cry. There was just something so beautiful about two people promising to be together until the end.
After the wedding she went in search of Ariel, she had complete disappeared before the even cut the beautiful cake she had made to look like one in a catalogue.
She walked around the house as the wedding was in the backyard. And made her way to the barn, she knew her cousin was quite found of Animals and figured she might have gone to brush her horse.
She almost left the large barn but then remembered last time she had been there, they often would mention that Ariel liked to climb up to the loft and lay in hay to read.
