Chapter Eight

Lindy set on the edge of the bed holding Levi's hand as she saw him slowly lift his eyelids. His eyes seemed almost bluer as he looked at her. She smiled slightly.
"W-who are you?" He asked confused.
"You don't remember me?"
"Should I?" Gone was his teasing smile, he looked like himself but he sure didn't act like it.
"Do you know who you are?" She asked almost scared.
"I-I don't know..." He said looking at her seriously. Lindy's eyes widened.
"Papa, Uncle Dan come quick!" She called out letting go of his hand Daniel came into the room first followed closely by her father. She stepped closer to her uncle before whispering "He doesn't remember anything."
Daniel nodded "It's normal with such injuries." He answered going to Levi's side.
"Hello" Daniel said nicely "I am Dr. Wade, how do you feel?"
"Like someone punched me in the head... What is my name?" Levi answered quietly.
"You're Levi Jasper... you had surgery a few days ago."
Lindy was crushed he didn't remember anything at all. She looked at her father sadly. She left the room to tell the others.

Levi watched the pretty woman leave the room, he had seen the way she bit her lip to keep from tears falling, he wondered who she was and why she seemed so upset. His hand still felt warm where she had held it.
"Do you remember anything Levi?" Dr. Wade asked "Anything at all."
"No" Levi answered honestly he tried hard to think of anything but couldn't. He had no idea why he was here or who he was.
After the Doctor checked a few more things and got him something to drink. He left the room telling him he had a lot of people who cared for him and wanted to see him. Levi had said to let them in, hoping seeing faces of people he once knew would help him.
Now they all stood in the room quietly staring at him, it was a bit unnerving as all the people looked like strangers to him. A woman with dark blonde hair and hazel eyes stepped forward.
"I'm your cousin Mahailey" She told him "Although you and I are more like siblings than cousin's... and this is my husband Marty." She said pointing to the man with pale blonde hair that stood next to her.
A tall, serious looking man stepped closer to him sitting down in the chair next to his bed "Levi, I am your best friend Nathan Adams... we met in law school and we have a practice in 'Hope Blossoms' Wyoming."
Hope Blossoms a rather peculiar name for a town, but it did seem a bit familiar.
"Who's she?" He asked looking towards the red headed woman he had first seen when he woke up. Her eyes were a light Icy blue and the glistened with unshed tears. But what he liked most about her was her hair, it was very curly and fell out of the pins she tried to confine it in.
"That's Lindy Wade... she's very important to you." Nathan whispered, as if not wanting her to hear.
'Lindy' The named seemed familiar to him, as if he heard it before.
"Alright I want everyone out" An older bolding man said receiving a glare from Lindy "Except Mrs. Jasper of course." He said quickly.
All eyes went to Lindy, who was blushing a becoming pink. She cleared her throat "Well you heard Dr. Jennings." She said still blushing. She made her way to the chair Nathan had just gotten up from. Although she didn't sit, instead she stood behind the chair watching everyone leave.
