Chapter Sixteen- Epilogue-Part One
*Two Years Later*
~~
Lindy invited Aivy and Mahailey over for tea. She smiled at her two best friends. Mahailey had a one and a half year old daughter Melinda who looked just like her with hazel eyes and dark hair and soon she would have another child. Aivy had a one year old son Reece who had curly blonde hair and dark brown eyes. She hadn't had a child yet but she knew that would change in seven months.
"I need your help" Lindy said looking from Aivy to Mahailey "Tonight is our two year anniversary and I want to make it special." And she wanted to tell Levi he would be a father. She was aching to tell her friends but she wanted her husband to know first.
"We'll help with whatever you need."
"I've already made a pie- his favorite. But I'd like to serve a fancy dinner as well... and decorate the house for the occasion."
"I can bring over the ribbons we used at the café." Aivy said thoughtfully.
"And I can help you plan and make the dinner." Mahailey added.
"Yes me too." Aivy replied picking up her son.
"Thank you!" Lindy said happily.

Levi looked up at Nathan who seemed disgruntled.
"What's wrong?" he asked getting up from his desk in their law practice as he made his way over to Nathan.
"My father... he's given me no choice... he said I have to get married or he'll disinherit me- he said I won't get anything I won't even be in his will." Nathan replied holding up a letter.
"Is that really a bad thing?" Levi asked "I mean we're doing well as lawyers here do you really need his money?"
"It's what's rightfully mine... I was going to make sure everything was equally split between my sister and me, of course but if he does this then neither me or her will get anything."
"You mean he didn't leave anything for her?"
"He doesn't believe women should own property he thinks their husbands do... she's only sixteen I won't have her marry someone just for her money... she's not even finished with school yet..."
"He's old fashioned, isn't he."
"Yes. So if I don't wed neither of us will get anything... what am I to do?"
"I think there's only one thing to do." Levi answered taking the letter Nathan held up to read.
"I have to put up an Advertisement for a wife."
"Or you could marry someone around here..."
"Levi everyone we know is married or too young for me." Nathan said as he got up and started to pace the room.
"So you're going to mail-order a bride?"
"I have to." Nathan said sitting back down and writing on a piece of parchment.
"Lee will you have them put this in the Denver paper? Since you are going out there in a few days."
"Of course" Levi said reading over the ad that Nathan had written down. He then looked at his pocket watch "I need to get home... its Lindy and my Anniversary tonight." he said pulling the present he got her from the bottom drawer of his desk.
"Happy Anniversary!" Nathan said getting up and handing him an envelope that had both his and Lindy's name on it.
"It's nothing special... just some money for you and Lindy to buy whatever you wish."
