Welcome to the beginning of the end...
I began to write this before LOT ended, and I was pondering what Harry would do when it was all over. I'm glad he managed to stay mostly out of the press for so long, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's next. I hope that whatever story he's living right now is making him happy.
Although this can absolutely be a stand-alone story, please consider reading the prequel novellas before you begin The Maiden in Winter – they're all quick reads, and they'll make this story even better for you.
